Another strong weekend of results with the clearance rate at 78%. In fact having worked as a lender I’ll share an interesting story I experienced in 2007-2008. Amtrust Bank if you recall that name was a successful institution for well over 100 years and eventually taken over by FDIC. Leading up to that takeover as a lender I learned incredible amounts of Information on how an institution like Amtrust liquidates it’s portfolio in desperate times. The point is for those reading this having great relationships with your lenders are key to gaining access to distressed properties. There are plenty of institutions concerned about 2024 because the financials that are being audited now are reflecting the decrease in profits and what rising interest rate can do not only to a bank but a business. So get your $$ ready because it’s going to be first come first serve and lenders are your greatest friend in markets like this.
