We were grateful to have Illinois State University Head Women’s Basketball Coach Kristen Gillespie visit with the COUNTRY underwriting leadership team recently. She shared valuable insights on what it takes to inspire a winning culture. “Get comfortable with the uncomfortable,” she advised. “Share the struggles of new tasks, but never lose sight of how important it is for leaders to embrace change.” We couldn’t agree more!

Exceptional leadership training. I can't recommend it highly enough.
"When Embracing Equity works with organizations, we use an ecosystem approach. When many other organizations do DEI work they focus on the individual or interpersonal. There's a third piece to that and it's the structures and systems. We work -- we walk -- side by side, hand in hand. We link arms with organizations so that you don't miss either part of the ecosystem. We take a look at the individual and interpersonal. We create the strong culture and climate and we also create long-lasting structures and systems so that you can do anti-racist equity work in your organizations." -Nicole Evans ♥️🙌🏽 Ready to build DEI anti-racism capacity in house? Jacinda Ardern's leadership style has been widely recognized and studied for its effectiveness, especially in times of crisis. One of the key lessons from her leadership is the importance of empathy and clear communication. Ardern's approach often involves being relatable and honest, which has helped her gain the trust and cooperation of her constituents. Another lesson is her decisiveness and ability to take swift action, as seen in her response to the COVID-19 pandemic, where she implemented strict measures early on to minimize harm to both lives and livelihoods. Ardern also emphasizes the significance of a collective approach, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. Her leadership underscores the balance between showing genuine concern for the well-being of people and making tough decisions for the greater good. Additionally, her ability to maintain a focus on long-term goals while navigating short-term crises has been pivotal in her success. These lessons highlight the value of compassionate, decisive, and strategic leadership in achieving positive outcomes for a community or nation.

Happy International Women’s Day! I have the privledge to lead and take part in many Women’s Leadership groups at work including giving women’s leadership talks and mentoring. I strongly believe the value behind today. You never know the full impact you can have on a person. A couple quotes that resonate with me and I wanted to share: - “Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen.” ― Brené Brown - “You can always tell who the strong women are. They are the ones you see building one another up instead of tearing each other down.” – Unknown - “If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then, you are an excellent leader.” – Dolly Parton - “I can’t think of any better representation of beauty than someone who is unafraid to be herself.” – Emma Stone - “Empowering those around you to be heard and valued makes the difference between a leader who simply instructs and one who inspires.” – Adena Friedman

The Corporate Rebel 😈 Developing impactful Women Leaders is my thing // 🧠 Integrative Leadership Development // Creating happy, confident women in out of the boardroom
How does this relate to the way we experience our 'leadership' privilege? 🤔 We form identify around our leadership roles, roles that give us privilege...of immunity from accountability, of access to information, of perks over others that come with the status of our title. As leaders do our fears of equality distort our original intentions of leading with integrity? #leadership #leader #leadershipdevelopment #womenwholead
