We are currently #hiring for a Senior Brand Manager for our client, a category-leading food manufacturer based in Bloomingdale, IL! The ideal candidate has 8-10 years in brand management experience, CPG food manufacturing experience, strong communication skills, and has proficiency with data analytics, innovation, packaging development, and market research processes. #Tipofthemonth with CRI! This month, we spoke to our Owner/President, Ingrid Moore, who provided some general interviewing tips based on her 30 years of experience in staffing and recruiting. 1. Research the company and who you will be meeting with: You should be able to give a short summary of what the company does, who their customers are, as well as some background on the work history of anyone you will be meeting. This information may come in handy if you're asked, “So, tell me what you know about our company,” or you might discover shared experiences, such as attending the same school or being part of the same fraternity/sorority. 2. Prepare job-related questions: A hiring manager wants to know that you are interested in the job, not just the benefits the company offers. 3. Dress to impress: While more casual attire has become acceptable over time, it’s still important to dress professionally. If you are interviewing virtually, avoid wearing hoodies, sunglasses, or conducting the interview from your car. For in-person interviews, always choose the most professional outfit. You won’t get a second chance to make a first impression. 4. Respond to "Tell us about yourself" professionally: This is not the time for personal information. Focus on your education, work history, and career choices. 5. Answer questions directly and specifically: A potential employer wants to know that you can communicate clearly and get to the point while remaining professional.

A big congratulations to Alexis Perez, who was just promoted to a Training Assistant! Alexis has been with us for over 3 years and throughout those years has proven her work ethic, integrity, and passion for her work at CR/CRT. In addition to these traits, she also brings a warm and positive team spirit each day. She cheers on the success of those around her and is always happy to lend a hand or share a piece of advice. For all these reasons, she is a perfect fit to step into a Training Assistant role, in addition to her current Recruiting Consultant responsibilities.
