Our SmartB🐎 Racing Tips of the Day: WIN Field Of Myrtle (Orange Race 3 No. 7) $3.50 Produced a reasonable effort when third last start at Mudgee, only beaten just over a length. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot make amends. WIN Gutsy (Orange Race 4 No. 5) $2.90 Racing well and could notch up another win here. Well placed in this field and some of these are struggling for form. You win some. You lose more. What Is the Kentucky Derby? The Kentucky Derby is a competitive race for three-year-old Thoroughbred horses and is part of the Triple Crown. 20 horses compete for prize money on a 2.01 km (1.25 miles) dirt track. Geldings and colts are required to carry 57 kg (126lb) and fillies 55 kg (121lb) while running the race. A gelding is a castrated male horse, a colt is a young male horse, while a filly is a young female horse. To qualify, horses compete in 35 races around the world. The top four horses in each of these races are given points. 20 horses with the most points qualify for the Kentucky Derby. To win the Triple Crown, a horse has to win the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes. So far, only 12 horses have won the Triple Crown.

Thinking about betting on the Derby? Here is some basic information. Pick a horse and bet him to win (finish first), place (finish second) or show (finish third). These are $2 base bets, and you can certainly bet more if you'd like. You can also bet the horse "across the board," meaning you have it to win, place and show — which is a $6 bet on a $2 base bet. All non-straight wagers are referred to as exotic bets. Exacta = pick the first two finishers in one race in exact order. Quinella = pick the first two finishers in one race in either order. Double = picking the winner of two consecutive races. Boxing = play all combinations of the horse you select so that you wine when they come in any order.

My thoughts on stage 20 GC battle and stage. 1. Incredibly aggressive stage seeing a giant explosion on the first climb with only 17 riders in the front group just 25k in the race. Visma showed strength again putting two riders in a very tough break away to get into. UAE also very strong and present doing amazing to control the race and put Soler into the break. Remco kept his team close to him which later defined the stage. 2. Carapaz put in yet another baller performance making it across to the break, solidifying his lead in the KOM (and winning jersey), and close to the stage win. Looks ready to do a strong Olympics and defend his title! 3. Remco put it all on the line to try for second place riding his team hard mid stage, trying to put pressure on Jonas, and then attacking on the final climb. It backfired as Jonas counter attacked him and rode up the road putting more time on him. You can’t fault him for trying and he will only get better from tryin and coming up short. 4. Jonas finished the mountains on a high note showing his class as a champion by never giving up. Matteo also showed his high level making the final riders on the climb after yesterday and moving up on GC. 5. Tadej rode the stage very defensively, even taking a backseat to the battle between Remco and Jonas on the final climb. I can imagine he felt conflicted on what he should do in this situation, but in the end rode conservatively letting Jonas bring Carapaz back and then sprinting to the stage win. 6. IMO Tadej did the right thing going for the win. A big champion like Jonas wants to win on his terms, not be handed it. 7. Tomorrow the big favorite is Tadej but he will not be taking any risks to win the TT on a technical course. I think Jonas has a realistic shot to win as he built for this course being lightweight, powerful, and has a very aerodynamic position. While it is clear he doesn’t have the same level as Tadej, I do think these reasons give him a chance to beat him or the World Champion Remco.
