Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank was CoreGiving's first hunger-relief partner, and we're proud to sponsor their annual gala, which raises critical funds for their Food 4 Kids Backpack Program. On Fridays throughout the school year, the food bank distributes backpacks filled with food to 3,500 students at 65 elementary schools across San Diego County. Thanks to the support of ShopCore Properties and our other Blackstone real estate portfolio company partners, CoreGiving is able to fund thousands of these backpacks for kids who would otherwise go hungry over the weekend. Special thanks to Lauren Greulich and Daniel Medina for representing CoreGiving at this year's gala and for being passionate advocates of our mission to end child hunger in the U.S.
Over the weekend, Daniel Medina and I had the privilege of attending the 2024 Gala hosted by the San Diego Food Bank, representing ShopCore Properties and CoreGiving. We were deeply inspired by the impactful initiatives of the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank in addressing hunger throughout the city. It's a tremendous honor to be part of a company that not only prioritizes its own community but also extends support to those in need.
