📌 More stories from our location of the month: The Baltics! German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (AHK) October 18 was a very important day for the AHK in Lithuania and the progress of establishing the dual #VET. In one day, we were able to successfully complete two important tasks: sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Visagino Technologijos ir Verslo profesinio mokymo centras Vocational Training Center and the constituent meeting of our AHK Vocational Education and Training Board. 👏 💡 The Visaginas Technology and Business Vocational Training Center is a partner of the AHK in Lithuania for some time now. The vocational school has maintained links with Germany for more than 30 years and is a beacon in the field of dual #VET in Lithuania due to its progressive approach. Together with several companies such as Continental Automotive Lithuania in Kaunas, Visaginas Technology and Business Vocational Training Centre launched dual vocational training programs based on the German model. During the registration phase in spring and summer of this year, a total of 45 young talents from 16 companies enrolled in dual vocational training programs. Next up the inaugural meeting of our AHK Vocational Education and Training Board with representatives from interested companies, vocational schools and the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Sports of Lithuania took place. The main tasks of the Vocational Education and Training Board were defined as the following: 📍 Discuss training and qualification needs to secure skilled workforce according to the requirements of companies 📍 Develop joint concepts and solutions for vocational educational and training programs 📍Successfully adapting proven German vocational education and training models to Lithuanian conditions All in all, it was a very successful day, which can be summarized best with the words of our CEO, Florian Schröder: "Human resources and, in particular, a competitive vocational training system geared to the needs of the economy are the key not only to Lithuania's competitiveness, but also to Europe's competitiveness." 💪 #vocationaleducationandtraining #skillsdevelopment #dualtraining

Find out more about how to grow you Professional Speaker business by being part of a nationwide and global organisation that encourages, supports and inspires - Professional Speakers Association of NZ - PSANZ!
🌟Monica Moore our Immediate Past President answers the question: Why am I a member of Professional Speakers Association of NZ - PSANZ ? 'PSANZ are my speaking whanau. Because of the support, guidance and opportunities I’ve had from this fabulous association I have been able to achieve far more than I ever thought of. My boundaries were pushed, my horizons widened and before I start to sound even more like a country song, I’ll also say that, like any organisation the resources are there but the work still needs to be done. I’m proud to have won two national awards, to have had the opportunity to lead the organisation of three Speaker Summits and facilitate our first Trailblazers book authored by 24 of our members and won an International Book Excellence award for best coffee table book. I am on the Board and led the association for two years as President. Because PSANZ is part of the Global Speakers Federation, I’ve attended conventions in Melbourne and Orlando and have spoken at Conventions in Delhi, Perth and Singapore. I have Professional Accreditation and my next goal is to become a CSP - I’m just over halfway and determined to succeed and be one in ten million.'

UniKL RCMP in Ipoh hosted a meeting with Syarikat Minyak Afiat to discuss new NCER programmes, particularly the NCER Technology Innovation Centre under the Centre of Excellence Program (COE) on 5 October 2023. The COE program is a government initiative to help local companies in the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER Malaysia) move up the value chain through technology advancement. The meeting was attended by representatives from both UniKL RCMP and Syarikat Minyak Afiat, as well as representatives from the NCER Malaysia . The discussion was productive, and both parties were excited about the potential of the NCER Technology Innovation Centre to help Syarikat Minyak Afiat and other local companies in the NCER grow and succeed. The Appointed COE Providers will provide shared services to local companies in the NCER in areas such as research and development, technology transfer, and training. This will help companies to access the latest technologies and expertise, and to develop new products and services. The NCER can offer matching grants up to RM25,000 to support the project cost with Appointed COE Providers such as SIRIM, CEDEC, and YGL. This makes the COE program a very affordable way for companies to access the services and expertise they need to grow and succeed. The meeting between UniKL RCMP and Syarikat Minyak Afiat is a positive step towards the development of the NCER Technology Innovation Centre. The COE program has the potential to make a significant contribution to the growth and development of local companies in the NCER.
