Excited to learn that my seminar proposal for Southern New Hampshire University's Gather 2024 virtual conference in January was accepted! Here's more on my notification: "We’re eager to share that your proposal titled 'Building Student Knowledge Through Thematic Course Announcements,' was accepted for Gather 2024! As a refresher, the proposal description you shared was: Creating engaging course announcements following a particular theme relevant to the course provides a cohesive, expansive approach to student learning. In my experience of teaching management and leadership, I selected a historical figure and explored his life and work from numerous angles (Marshal Vasily Chuikov). I created weekly announcements featuring Chuikov that tie into each module's focus. Your proposed learning outcomes were: Attendees will explore how to create cohesive, engaging course content to enhance student learning."

We have exciting news to share! In March 2024, the South by Southwest Education Festival will take place and we, at eduki, have applied to present a workshop to showcase our approach to quality and its impact to a global audience. #SXSW EDU is one of the most important events in the education industry and attracts thousands of education experts, teachers and innovators from all over the world every year. It is a unique opportunity for us to present our mission and share our vision for the future of #education while learning from other leaders in the industry. Final sessions are decided by the public (30% of votes are casted by the community). And that's where you come in! Your support is invaluable, and we'd love to have you vote. If our session gets in, our Lola Reeves Garay will be presenting the workshop: "Unleash meaningful impact with quality teaching resources", in which she will take the audience on an experiential journey to understand how the quality of teaching resources has an impact on our teachers' and learners' day to day. Although, at times, teaching resources take an unassuming role in learning, they have a huge impact on the students’ emotional, cognitive and social realities. They also have an incredibly impactful role in the development of teachers’ leadership skills and best practice. In an industry severely lacking research on such impact, we have taken the challenge to create an evidence-based quality assessment system for teacher-made resources based on pedagogical reality, in our globally diverse community of over 1 million educators. In this workshop, we will deep dive into that system and experience its impact. Your voice is crucial to securing our workshop at SXSW EDU. With your support, we can make an even bigger impact on education! Here's how: - Visit the SXSW EDU website: https://lnkd.in/eFxpa-6J - Register if you don't already have an account. - Click on the "Arrow up" to vote yes - You can leave a comment to say why you voted for the workshop or to ask questions - Share the message and link and encourage others to vote for us too! 🤩 We truly appreciate your support and are grateful for each and every vote. Together, we can change the educational landscape and raise awareness of the importance and impact of high quality resources in education. Thank you for your support!
