As we celebrate National Nurses Week, let's not forget the crucial importance of self-care for our healthcare heroes. Nurses must prioritize their own well-being to consistently deliver quality care to their patients. Self-care encompasses physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and emotional aspects, vital for maintaining a healthy balance in the demanding nursing profession. From scheduling workouts to engaging in activities that bring joy, there are several ways nurses can incorporate self-care into their routines. On this National Nurses Week, let's salute the dedication and resilience of our nurses, while also recognizing the importance of supporting their well-being. Together, let's ensure our healthcare heroes have the tools and resources they need to care for themselves as they care for others. #NationalNursesWeek #NursesMakeTheDifference #SelfCare #HealthcareHeroes

Corporate Director of Nursing ACLS/BLS Instructor, Doctorate in Business Administration, Master international management in healthcare systems
**The Magic Touch of Nurses: More Than Just Care** In every hospital room, clinic, and home, there’s a moment that patients often remember long after their treatment—it's the gentle, reassuring touch of a nurse. This "magic touch" isn’t just about physical care; it's the silent language of compassion, empathy, and human connection. Nurses do more than administer medicine or check vital signs—they ease fears, provide comfort, and restore dignity. Their touch bridges the gap between science and humanity, healing not just bodies, but minds and spirits. Today, let’s take a moment to honor the nurses who show us that healthcare is as much about caring hearts as it is about skilled hands. #NursesPower #NursingMagic #HealthcareCompassion

Happy Nurse's Week 2024! I am so proud to be a 4th generation nurse that stands on the shoulders of countless legends. My promise to the nurses that have paved the path for my success so far has 2 parts: 1. I promise to be intentional and grateful. I commit to surround myself with people that share my passion & celebrate each other's contributions - Iron Sharpens Iron. I am ecstatic to work with a courageous and innovative team of Nurses that are mission driven to deliver a workforce reality enabling clinicians with flexibility and the compensation they desire while creating financial sustainability and reliability for healthcare organizations. 2. I promise to say the hard things that need to be said. For instance, as we dive headlong into a new age of disruption & innovation at warp speed: if you're a healthcare leader whose organization is partnering with "technology firms" that don't have a Nurse voice at their executive table, ask them how they develop strategic solutions that are meaningful to real clinical users in a rapidly evolving environment. Then, ask yourself how many hours you've spent teaching them why/how systems need to operate in order to deliver seamless user interfaces & experience. If you don't like the answers, come sit by me and lets talk.
Happy National Nurses' Week! Today, as we kick off this meaningful celebration, we pay tribute to the heartbeat of our healthcare community. Nurses are the pillars of compassion and care, tirelessly serving others with unwavering dedication. Join us in honoring four remarkable nurses: Nancy Bourg, Amanda Wheeler, Tamara Miller and Dave Stillmunkes. Their teammates recognize them for their unwavering commitment and compassion. #NationalNursesWeek #NursesWeek #ThankANurse

What a thought-provoking perspective for Nurses Week! Kaija Freborg DNP-TCN, RN, NC-BC underscores the vital importance of self-care and self-compassion in nursing. "We allow the voices of others and their needs to drown out our own—to the point that we may even struggle to identify our own needs or sense of self. Who am I, if I am not a care giver?" As Nurse's Week is nearing the end, let's take time to give ourselves space to explore how we can give ourselves space to "dissolve our perfectionism" and " embrace our flaws and vulnerability." #nursesonlinkedin #nurseburnoutprevention #thenursesabbatical
