🌍 Day 3: Technical Visit & Workshop Series on District Cooling in the UAE 🌍 Representatives of the Regulatory and Supervisory Bureau (RSB), Dubai Electricity and Water Regulatory Body, shared the benefits of the District Cooling Regulatory Framework in Dubai, revealing impressive savings of $30 billion from district cooling projects so far. 🏭 Notably, the team discussed how regulatory support has fostered open competition among district cooling providers and billing service providers, resulting in 4 licensed DC providers and 27 billing service providers operating in Dubai. RSB also highlighted the collaborative efforts between large building developers and district cooling providers during the planning and design stages. This partnership ensures optimal design and cost-efficiency for district cooling systems, enhancing their overall performance. 💹 A significant highlight was the stability of chilled water tariffs for consumers, which have not increased in the last 11 years in Dubai. ❄ 🌟 Stay tuned to our page for more discussions on similar topics! ❄ 🌟 #DistrictCooling #Sustainability #Dubai #RSB #EnergyEfficiency #Innovation #UAE UN Environment Programme / COP28 UAE / Empower / Benjamin Hickman / Rahul Agnihotri / Thibaut Pasquet

The Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) is urging a new Parliament to prioritise high energy performance (Class A) building controls in new and existing non-domestic properties across the UK. Following the recent Future Buildings Standard consultation, the BCIA emphasises the significant impact Building Automation and Controls Systems (BACS) can have on sustainability. Their recommendations include making BACS mandatory for HVAC systems above 180kW, integrating smart controls, and ensuring occupancy-based strategies for all building services. As the majority of current UK buildings will still be standing in 2050, retrofitting is essential to meet net zero targets. Let's work together to make our buildings more energy efficient, smarter and intelligent! 🌱🏢 Read more about the BCIA’s recommendations here: https://lnkd.in/es_TrPTD #Controls #EnergyEfficiency #BuildingControls #NetZero #FutureBuildings

🌡️ Mastering Extreme Temperatures with KTI Chillers ❄️ KTI overcomes the immense challenge of cooling water in hot regions like Saudi Arabia and the UAE by using advanced Cold-Water Chillers. These machines are designed for superior efficiency and performance, able to cool water from temperatures as high as 45°C down to a cool 0.5°C. Why KTI Cold Water Chillers stand apart: ✅Precision Cooling in One Pass: Our chillers expertly chill water in multiple stages without the need for recirculation. This means achieving a dramatic temperature drop from 45°C to 3-4°C or even 0.5°C in a single pass, bypassing the inefficiency of standard HVAC chillers that would rely on continuous water circulation to gradually lower temperatures. ✅Energy Efficiency Redefined: The multi-stage chilling process not only ensures precision cooling but also significantly increases energy efficiency, making our chillers a sustainable choice for demanding environments. ✅Taking cooling technology a step further, KTI introduces the Ice Water Chillers for applications requiring water temperatures just above freezing. With an advanced ice bank system and iced coils, the Ice Water Chillers gently lower water temperatures to approximately 0.5°C, perfect for applications needing water at the brink of freezing without forming ice. 🔍 Discover how KTI is revolutionizing cooling solutions in the harshest climates: https://lnkd.in/ghM8gb4F #KTIcooling #innovativecooling #sustainablesolutions #extremetemperatures #chillingtechnology #concretecooling #chiller #icewater
