Why our founders step into the boxing ring... Over a month has passed since our EuerZuhause Co-Founder 🚀 🚀Thilo Plikat entered the ring to verbally spar with other start-ups. What might sound amusing at first glance actually holds a bit deeper significance. Here are three reasons why it's important to engage in such competitions regularly. 👇 🥊 It builds resilience: Establishing a business entails enduring ups and downs. There will be instances where you must rise and confront challenges head-on. Within the boxing arena, there are moments when your counterpart strikes, eliciting applause from the audience, though not directed at you. Yet, it's within your power to determine whether the subsequent blow is yours, potentially even more impactful. 🥊 🥊 Be aware of your most important asset! Inside the ring, it's solely you and the individual beside you. No tablets, no notebooks, no PowerPoint presentations. Your most potent weapon is YOU, and mastering its utilization is key. Convincing lies in the narrative, the product, and fundamentally, in your persona. 🥊 🥊 🥊 Train your story! Grab attention with your story and be ready for surprises. As a founder, especially when looking for investors, you need to persuade, inspire and sometimes defend. You'll meet experienced people who want to see if your solution is worth their investment. So, improving how you confidently and convincingly tell your story helps you handle any unexpected questions or comments. That´s why pitching in the boxing ring is such a great training! Besides, the FoundersFight.Club Night is always a great networking event where start-ups, partners and investors come together. Thanks again to all involved, especially Jan C. Küster, Plug and Play Tech Center and ROHDE BAIER Rechtsanwälte and Nick Trachte and team from #Boxwerk for organizing this fantastic event! Also a big shoutout to the jury: Jessica Cheng, Thorsten Rohde, Mag. iur., Richard Luetzner, Luka Pintaric & Philipp Rehsmann. 😎 Congratulations to David Tejs Jørring for winning the gold medal and kudos to 🚀Thilo from EuerZuhause for winning the second place! 🥇 #startups #pitch #investors #network #throwback

𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐎𝐧𝐞-𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 Last week I had the pleasure of speaking at One-Zero’s Dublin event (there’s another in Indiana in August – so look out for that). The speaking panels were outstanding and provocative; here are nine things speakers shared that that struck me as especially interesting and which you too may enjoy. 1. In 2023, more golf was played off the course than on it 2. The number of athlete investors is growing fast and they get excited by sports tech 3. ‘Older athletes tend to want equity over financial ‘skin in the game’ while those under 35 are inclined to see this as a flawed model.’ 4. Conversely, companies which offer equity, not financial commitment, to athletes are now perceived to be unlikely to perform so well 5. When looking at startups, diversity of the board is a major consideration – no one wants to see all coders, all sales people, all one gender etc 6. Investors look for companies who have spotted ‘beachheads’ that could be growth platforms (‘...remember, Amazon started by selling books’) 7. ‘Investors love founders who are ‘obsessed with problem solving’’ 8. Thrive, a documentary about head trauma, is in production. Co-produced by 3-times SuperBowl winner, Lonie Paxton and featuring AFL star, Koby Stevens, surfer, Owen Wright and snowboarder, Kevin Pearce, it looks moving and inspiring 9. Finally, for those of you so inclined, look out for the Enhanced Games. Yes, someone has decided it’s a good idea to let sportspeople have at it with the medicine cabinet then go out and perform ... or as they put it ‘when 44% of athletes already use performance enhancements, it is time to safely celebrate science.’ I think we might have found the subject of our next debate… It was great to catch up with friends and make some new connections. Good to see you Andrew Hippert Andrew Macaulay Christopher Carroll Dan Zelezinski Dana Dar Daniel W. David Lyons Fredrik Tuxen Jeffrey Hintz Jeron Peoples Jordan F. Kate Hamer Koen Bosma Lorin Hamlin Louis Saha Mark Epps Martin O'Reilly Michael Cole Pet Berisha Pete Townsend Rob Hartnett Stuart Ramsey Tony Ryan Traci DeForge Trev Keane https://one-zero.com/

Thank you! 5 years ago was a tipping point in my professional journey. After an exciting ride building one of the most successful VR products with LiveLikeVR, I was ready for something new and met the right partner in David Gonçalves to build it. The first change was LiveLike which pivoted to an engagement, social and loyalty software. Big change with its uncertainties. Exciting though, based on our takeaways from the previous 4 years working on some of the biggest events like the Super Bowl or the FIFA World Cup. It was good enough that it made the cut for the UEFA Accelerator Program & alongside 6 other top class startups. Greenfly, a company we met during the process, was amongst the 18 finalists but didn’t make that cut. I remember going to Jean-Baptiste Alliot, who was the Head of Innovation at UEFA and who joined us a few months later, and saying - “How did Greenfly not get picked? It’s the most relevant piece of software I’ve seen in a while for the sports industry”. His answer was simple : “We’re not the NBA and it was pitched for a private league”. This is where everything connected as evidence - we were going to create the agency to help the best Sportech grow their business in Europe thanks to our understanding of the landscape, by shaping their message in the right way and adapting the model for the organizations here. LaSource was born. If I tell this story now, it is because we are entering the next phase of our journey with Greenfly, where we will keep accompanying them as advisors but without representing them commercially. This means it is also the moment to say a massive thank you to 2 people who have been key in our journey - Daniel Kirschner for trusting us to represent his brand in Europe and for the amazing journey by his side - and to Miheer Walavalkar for being a friend and allowing us the room to embrace this idea. It has been amazing helping Greenfly grow from one partner in Europe to the business it is now with more than 50 clients, including most of the best sports brands, using the platform for their content creation, distribution and strategy. Greenfly has built a model which is now a standard in the industry and we are proud to have helped in this process. We have also met some great people along the way (⚡️ Tom Kuhr, Katie Williams) and are leaving the recent European office in the best possible hands with Nick Shaw, Gabby Vidal Castillo, Jamal Blades, Ollie Brereton. What this also means for LaSource is new announcements are coming up soon! We believe that alongside the success LiveLike is currently meeting, the diversification LaSource has embraced now advising clubs and leagues on their digital transformation as well as helping Broadcasters and Leagues break deals for their rights, we believe to have found a new company that is going to bring a new revolution in the industry. And we are also always on the lookout for others… Leander Monbaliu Alexandre Kandelaft
