This was Jaw dropping! I recently shared my journey of recovery after undergoing major Jaw Surgery. It was a challenging experience, both physically and mentally. Even now, I struggle to recognize myself when I look in the mirror. Unexpectedly, this has become a personal struggle for me. Instead of keeping it to myself, I decided to educate and support others who may be going through the same thing. I started a podcast where I interviewed others about their experiences, and I have been amazed by the response. Over 5,000 people have listened, and I have received numerous messages of gratitude. I've also been able to raise awareness for the hospital and specialist team that helped me during this difficult time. Additionally, I've learned about innovative dental and jaw care technology that has blown my mind. I had resisted posting the podcast on LinkedIn for fear it is not professional enough, and you know what, that fear has gone today, because this is all part of me and my journey. I am so much more than just Lauren who does recruitment - I am Lauren, someone who has overcome challenges and wants to help others do the same.
