Was it a modified ATCC strain for which you have a licence? How was it modified? By whom? This will help others to benefit from this interesting work, which is one of the main reason why we publish scientific papers.

Our innovative strain discovery empowers you to explore and identify microbial cultures that can propel your product development to new heights! 👉 Check out our recent case study where we successfully assisted a customer in need of new enzymes capable of degrading specific compounds under challenging acidophilic, thermophilic, and alkalophilic conditions. The customer provided environmental samples and a wish list of potential bacterial species. Our meticulous culturing approach, incorporating heat shock, pre-culturing, and parallel culturing conditions, was designed through collaborative consultations and literature research conducted by our expert team at BaseClear. Pilot experiments were then optimized to perfection. ❔The results? Twelve different species were identified, including thirty-two novel species within the specified bacterial family. The customer received glycerol stocks of pure cultures, fasta files for each sequenced isolate, and a comprehensive expert report detailing the experimental approach, result tables, and relevant conclusions. Most importantly, complete intellectual property rights were granted to the customer on the isolated strains, their genome sequences, and present novel enzymes. Recently, the group has embraced new endeavors within the emerging field of novel food production, where they bring in their extensive experience in sample preparation, chromatography, electrophoresis and mass spectrometry to deliver in-depth process understanding to their clients: from ingredients (e.g., detergents, antifoam), across recombinantly produced products (e.g. milk proteins) to complex cell-based cultures (e.g. lab-grown meat). Her presentation, 'In-depth analytical product characterization: a critical tool to develop, optimize and secure the manufacturing process', will be of interest to all delegates. Defining a robust production process for a recombinant protein product comes with various challenges. From the earliest stages of development, it is key to have a thorough understanding of how your product evolves during fermentation, harvesting, downstream processing and beyond.
