Once you’ve collected your reviews, you may be wondering where you should post them. Today, we are going to discuss two of the giants in the tech industry: Apple and Google. Can you guess which one was founded first? Take a moment to think, but do not search the internet. And… Do not make a bias by selecting your preferred one. Alright now. Let’s take a walk down memory lane. Apple, officially known as Apple Inc., was founded on April 1, 1976. On the other hand, Google, LLC was founded some years later, on September 4, 1998. So, there you have it, folks. Our favorite search engine was founded after Apple.

Truth is often multifaceted and gray but we prefer to see it black or white for simplicity's sake. Businesses who refuse to pay commissions to Google for using their playstore services are essentially going back on terms and conditions that they accepted. So yes, in this isolated incident, Google is in the right to claim what was already agreed initially between the parties. However, having an unregulated monopoly, especially in a sector like technology, is a death knell to innovation. US Department of Justice and FTC crackdown on Microsoft in late 1990s is the reason why companies like Google could grow in a more competitive ecosystem. Monopoly leads to low innovation (because there is no reason to innovate when there is no competition) which has a cascading effect on consumer price and experience. We react to short term isolated events, overlooking their broader, lasting impacts.

Good to see Google shaken! Monopolies are detrimental because they stifle innovation, inflate prices, and reduce consumer choices. When a single entity dominates the market, it can exploit its position, leading to higher costs and lower quality for consumers. This is particularly evident in the tech industry with giants like Google and Microsoft. Their dominance can limit opportunities for smaller companies and hinder technological advancements. Competition, on the other hand, fosters a dynamic marketplace where businesses strive to improve their products and services. This drives innovation, ensures fair pricing, and enhances overall consumer satisfaction. By promoting competition, we maintain a balance that benefits the economy and society as a whole, ensuring no single entity can monopolize resources and power. Google, Microsoft, and similar companies should face healthy competition to keep the market fair and beneficial for everyone. I hope competition for app stores like the App Store and Google Play Store emerges soon and gains widespread adoption. #Ola vs #Google
