As a Solutions Manager for BigHand, I enjoyed talking about my experience with law firms with regards to getting support staff back into the office. Overall, I don't think it will solve the issues around understanding how people work and what they do. Getting visibility to task submission, flow, and completion will provide the data needed to drive the efficiency clients are looking for now and improve profits. It has the added bonus of keeping staff on a flexible schedule and increasing their engagement. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) reported that on average it costs a company 6 to 9 months of an employee's salary to replace them. For an employee making $60,000 per year, that comes out to $30,000 - $45,000 in recruiting and training costs. Getting the data needed to increase profits and keep employees happy is cheaper than that.
