Learn more about Proudly South African Skills Development Skills Development is important because it promotes economic growth and social development by creating a more skilled and diverse workforce. Skills Development initiatives help to level the playing field and reduce inequality in the economy, by providing training and education opportunities to small and medium businesses. In addition, it helps to address the skills shortage that exists in many sectors of the South African economy, which is a barrier to economic growth. One of the key challenges facing Skills Development in South Africa is the lack of funding and resources available to implement these programs. In addition, there is often a disconnect between the skills that are being taught and the needs of the economy, which can limit the effectiveness of these programmes. #skillsdevelopment #southafricanbusiness #growth #business #local #southafrica https://lnkd.in/dpcfME-Z

TVET programs that focus on industry-relevant skills play a crucial role in attracting foreign investment by providing a skilled workforce. The Ghana Skills Development Initiative's aim to improve the relevance of TVET to industry needs is a prime example of this. Foreign investors are often attracted to countries with a skilled workforce that can meet their industry needs. By focusing on industry-relevant skills, TVET programs can ensure that graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce and contribute to the growth of industries that are attractive to foreign investors. The Ghana Skills Development Initiative likely works closely with industry partners to identify skills gaps and develop training programs that address these gaps. By aligning their training programs with industry needs, TVET institutions can ensure that their graduates are in high demand by employers, including foreign investors. Overall, TVET programs that focus on industry-relevant skills play a crucial role in attracting foreign investment by providing a skilled workforce. This, in turn, contributes to economic growth through increased investment and job creation. Youtube Link: https://lnkd.in/dvcCc_vT
