I fully agree with you Fouad, and I have additional questions: How frequent are these trips per person? What is the duration of each trip? How does the trip cost align with income per capita? Additionally, how does the transportation system interact with land use and its changes? These inquiries, among others, are essential considerations for urban planners.

In the Netherlands, there are 10 million registered cars, and the population is 17 million. 74% of households have at least one car. But does each car move for every trip, and how often do they move daily? In Saudi Arabia, there are about 12 million registered cars, with a population of 36 million. But what percentage of cars move daily, and how many times?

Some 7 in 10 residents of Saudi Arabia are "very" or "moderately" likely to purchase a battery-electric vehicle (BEV), a figure that is projected to rise to 85% by 2035. In China, the world’s largest automobile market, the “very” or “moderately” likely BEV-purchase intention is nearing totality while growth in sentiment for pure BEVs stagnates at 35-43% in the US and Europe. This is according to AlixPartners' 2024 International Electric Vehicle Consumer-Sentiment Survey, released by the global consulting firm AlixPartners. True but most legacy carriers with the most capacity are already recognizing the different fare buckets by segmenting their fare. On DL I can choose Basic Economy for lowest no frills fare (no advance seats, no mileage accrual etc) or book Main which includes all those. You'll always have cheapies wanting the absolute deal, whether they understand the limitations or not. Yes more bundling will become more attractive but it will be no different than what I see out there right now. Having said this, I agree with Peter that it is a circle and the pendulum will swing to differentiate products over time. BTW Delta just had record Q2 earnings with their fare model in place. Not an incentive for now to change their segmentation approach. Plus frequent flyer programs award plenty benefits ie upgrades, advance boarding etc. and those pax are usually profitable whereas lowest fares are simply marginal revenues to top off load factors at lowest unit profits....
Free seat selection included...but you better pay! This is a seat map of a transcon. flight on a fare that includes a free seat selection. Up to row 26 is premium/comfort. While window & aisle seats in rows 27 to 33 (maybe even farther?) are considered preferred. My main disappointment here is twofold: 1. Illusionary free seat selection 2. Half of the main cabin is blocked as preferred seats An aisle seat with standard legroom in row 33 costing 50$ extra 😏 Should there be a logical limitation to what can be sold as ancillary? I ended up booking a different flight on another airline, where I could actually choose my seat. #airlineindustry #aviation #airlines

In passenger transportation, available seat miles (ASM) or available seat kilometers (ASK) is a measure of passenger carrying capacity. It is equal to the number of seats available multiplied by the number of miles or kilometers traveled by a vehicle. In the airline industry an available seat mile is the fundamental unit of production for a passenger-carrying airline. A unit in this case is one seat, available for sale, flown one mile. #ASK #Airlines #Definitions #Dictionary

Chinese vehicles began to be present in the Saudi market 10 years ago, and the year 2015 witnessed the increase of their brands until they reached more than 10 brands today and more coming in the future. The presence of Chinese cars is not limited to local markets, but has gone beyond that to reach the ten best-selling lists in the country, as the latest report issued by the Chinese Automobile Manufacturers Association revealed that Riyadh ranked sixth in the world, as the destination for the most exports of Chinese-made cars during the year 2023. Despite the dominance of the brands that Saudis are accustomed to purchasing from Asian car manufacturing countries, the technologies and features, especially with regard to attractive designs, quality, and safety, which Chinese companies provide in their cars, have contributed to raising the rates of demand for their acquisition, and prices and services have also played a role. After sales played a major role in purchasing it, as they began to prefer it over other brands and it became trusted by the Saudi consumer. It requires from a lot of agent work to highlight the quality of the car and provide after-sales services that raise the level of interest , features and quality of manufacture need more marketing plan to show the durability and quality of Chinese cars and more spread and distribution within cities and not Shortening to the main cities and applying standards plan for operations to develop performance and services in the Saudi market, by monitoring the performance standards in the market, manufacturing companies should be available in the Saudi market by opening regional offices that raise consumer confidence.
