This principle, despite its importance, is often overlooked by many teams. To illustrate the significance of this alignment, consider the success story of a now-prominent e-commerce platform. In its early days, with a limited inventory and customer base transitioning from competitors, the platform prioritized expansive recall over precision to avoid disappointing customers with a perceived lack of options. This strategic focus on recall over precision was instrumental in retaining customers and fostering business growth. As the platform expanded its inventory to tens of millions of items, the emphasis shifted towards improving precision. This careful calibration of metrics and system development in response to evolving business needs has been a key factor in its evolution into a multi-billion-dollar enterprise. Had the platform adhered to a standard approach prioritizing both high precision and recall from the outset, it's unlikely that it would have achieved the same level of success.

No need to pay you’re charged as you pick up goods 👀 💥AI logistics management - warehouse drones 💥Personalized customer experience - biometric and face recognition can recognise the consumer and provide tailored recommendations/ experience in store 💥AI product searches - anyone can take a picture of any product and find it online via AI technology I think the next few years are going to be very interesting for us all as AI is deployed at scale.
