Last weekend, the Valais region of Switzerland was hit hard by extremely heavy rainfall, causing flooding as the Rhône River overflowed its banks. Our Sierre and Chippis plants were affected by this natural disaster and had to stop production. We are very glad to report that all our employees are safe. It is still too early to assess the extent of the damage, or to tell when production will restart, but our teams are mobilized with the great support of local and federal authorities and are already working on cleaning up the site. Our priority is to bring both sites back to operation in a safe, organized, and efficient manner, as early as possible. We would like to thank our Valais teams and the first responders for their incredible work to limit the damage and ensure the safety of our employees and the community.

Oh my. I pray for the entire community affected by the flood during this time. In a previous career, the plant I worked at on the Ohio River flooded. We had a pit 25'x8'x10' that had a ton of fish in it. The floors were covered in mud. It was a mess. So, I sympathize with your workers Constellium.

Thank you, everyone, for the wonderful kind messages of support! Our colleagues in Valais are surely even stronger in their resilience and resolve for the recovery to know that all of Constellium and this network are behind them.

Courage à toutes les équipes. J’espère que vous pourrez reprendre vos activités rapidement.

It was so sad to see the initial reports of the flooding. I have enjoyed visiting the plant several times. It is such a wonderful area and the people are outstanding. I am very thankful to learn everyone is safe from the initial flooding. My prayers are that the community and facilities affected will soon recover safely.
