Singapore’s largest and most experiential consumer electronics show, Consumer Electronics Exhibition (CEE), was abuzz last week when it convened over 120 exhibitors offering the latest lifestyle tech and smart home innovations from more than 300 leading brands. This year's edition attracted almost 88,000 attendees from 23 – 26 May at Suntec Convention Centre, growing its year-on-year visitorship by over 28%. In addition to best-selling gadgets and unbeatable deals, CEE 2024 put a spotlight on new-to-market consumer technology geared towards enabling a healthier Singapore and improving overall quality of life. This also included an experiential "Sleep Tech Zone" where consumers could learn how to improve their sleep quality and health through a wide range of personalised tech-enabled solutions. Also new at CEE this year was the dynamic Show & Tell stage, connecting brands and consumers through interactive live demonstrations and other stage activities. CEE also partnered with leading digital platforms such as ShopBack, Grab and TikTok Shop where consumers could gain additional cashback rewards and discounts on top of the best promotions at CEE. Environmentally-conscious shoppers also enjoyed rewards for embarking on their zero e-waste journey through myhalo’s trade-in and e-clutter collection offers. As we celebrate Mother's Day this year, we are inspired by the passion and tenacity of project manager Denise T., who took on a new role shortly after becoming a first-time mom. Denise currently leads Process Innovation Asia Pacific Powered by ACHEMA (PIA), a new event in partnership with DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH aimed at igniting growth for the region's process industries, which will be launching at Singapore EXPO this November. Since becoming a mom, Denise recognises the immense responsibility of being a guide and model for her child, a new perspective that has motivated her to focus on what truly matters at work. Working closely with our event partners who organise ACHEMA 2024, she is able to better understand the unique demands of the region's local markets and forge more meaningful relationships with clients to help them meet their objectives. While Denise has gamely taken on the challenge of bringing #PIA2024 to life alongside raising her child, she acknowledges that the learning curve at the beginning was steep. She is grateful to have a supportive work environment that enables her to excel while balancing work and motherhood. #InspireThroughInnovation: Our Operations team at Singapore EXPO recently found a brilliant way to transform the workflow at our Apex plenary hall. Led by Tan Beng Hwee and Royston Scharenguivel, the team developed a creative solution to tackle the time-consuming and labour-intensive task of concealing our tiered seating system when not in use. Drawing inspiration from lighting trusses, they engineered a wheeled structure equipped with drapes that effortlessly covers the seating in 10 minutes – a task that previously took a full day of manual assembly work. This ingenuity not only enhances workplace safety but also significantly improves event setup efficiency. This Labour Day, we celebrate our teams' adaptability and problem-solving spirit that makes Constellar a better place to learn and grow. A roaring day 1 for the inaugural AtoZero.Official Asia 2024 at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre. Keynote speaker Tim Gould of the International Energy Agency (IEA) kicked off the afternoon with a health check on where we are on global transition, followed by insights and case studies on Asia's Net Zero transition pathways from the region's leading experts, technologists and regulators. The AtoZero (Accelerate To Net Zero) Asia Summit & Exhbition takes place from 17 - 18 April 2024, assembling global energy leaders directly involved in shaping Asia's energy future and offering unparalleled opportunities for collaboration and investment to meet the region's growing clean energy demands.
