Once a month we get together for Consilium Breakfast Club! Today we had the pleasure to welcome an external guest, Loui Sand. Loui became the first transgender professional handball player in Sweden and his journey is one of resilience and courage. Thank you Loui for sharing your story with us! This is also when we kick-off the Pride Month to celebrate love and diversity and to emphasize the importance for continued efforts for acceptance and equal rights for all. For us, embracing diversity involves actively promoting inclusion and equity, ensuring that everyone can contribute and succeed and addressing barriers that may hinder this. We are one global team-working together across different cultures, time zones and expertise areas. We strive to create an environment where differences are celebrated and where everyone feels valued and respected. #ConsiliumSafety #LifeAtConsilium

God determines everyone's gender, and no matter what our personal feelings may be or how confused we may feel, we should act in accordance with God's biological design. Transgenderism/Sodomy is an act that falls short of God's glory (Romans 3:23) and is in direct rebellion against the naturally created order of God (Romans 1:26-27)). God’s created order has only two genders, male and female (Genesis 5:2/Matthew 19:4) . According to God, transgenderism does not exemplify obedience to God's natural laws and is an act that falls short of God's glory. To pretend to be something you are not, is NOT a civil rights issue, it IS a right to sin in a sinful and wicked world issue. NOTE: *** If you have a prostate, you are a biological man. If you have an ovary you, are a biological woman. Period. ***

The recent boxing match between Angela Carini and Imane Khelif in Paris Olympics 2024 has sparked a crucial conversation about fairness and safety in women's sports. 🥊💪 While the debate about transgender athletes in competition is complex, 🧠💭 one thing is clear: the well-being of all athletes must remain paramount. 💖🙏 It's disheartening to hear of Angela's injuries, and I wish her a swift recovery. 🤕🩹 This incident underscores the need for thoughtful policies that balance inclusivity with the unique physical differences between male and female athletes. ⚖️🚻 As we navigate this evolving landscape, let's prioritize open dialogue, 🗣️👂 scientific understanding, 🔬🧬 and the creation of a sporting environment where everyone can compete fairly and safely. 🏆🤝 #WomensSports #FairPlay #AthleteSafety #TransgenderAthletes #parisolympics

Did the furore over Imane Khelif mean anything for how sport approaches the transgender issue, or for the broader culture war? It had a few peculiarities that might mean the answer to that question is no... In this story, I try to untangle the threads.

Women have come a long way since competing in the Olympic Games for the first time in 1900, also in Paris. That year, women represented only 2.2% of all participants. Sport can change lives. This includes promoting leadership, teamwork, self reliance and confidence in women. Gender parity also benefits economies and societies more widely. Progress in closing gender gaps means more growth, innovation, and resilience for countries. “We will keep leading the way and using the power of sport to contribute to a more equal and inclusive society.” International Olympic Committee Mind School by Leadership Next
