Last week presented significant challenges for both our customers and employees as we navigated a series of major service disruptions. In a single day, we lost two vessels and temporarily a third on our Anacortes/San Juan Islands route due to mechanical issues. Additionally, we've faced an increase in crewing cancellations. This setback is especially hard to digest as we recently celebrated our first week without any canceled sailings due to crew related shortages since the pandemic began. Leading through such adversity requires resilience and a forward-looking mindset. While these challenges are difficult, they also present opportunities for growth and improvement. At Washinginton State Ferries we are committed to finding solutions that not only address our current issues but also build a more robust and resilient system for the future. Though there will undoubtedly be more bumps, cancellations, and disruptions along the way, I am confident in our team's ability to navigate these challenges. Together, we will transform these obstacles into opportunities, ensuring a stronger, more reliable service for all. I remember the times I have put up posts about this in the past, where I believed that it's okay to make sure we are spending taxpayers' money right by canceling the order if you have another and better option to go with. Yet it's not ok if you dont. How many times have Ben Ross and Michael van Drogenbroek explained to us with many posts based on facts and numbers, not based on their opinions, that what our current government did is not a great way to provide required transportation services to our people? What they are proposing, canceling the order without a better option in place, is utterly and totally something that can only be done by fools. How often have Ben Ross, Michael van Drogenbroek, and, occasionally, I been told by pro-current Government cheerleaders that we are out of our minds? I used to love the comments asking me where I was when the last government made a mistake and why I did not say anything. My response, as always, is here, asking the previous government to provide better service to our communities, people, and country. Another excuse they used to come out with was, "It's been only three months or six months since they took on their responsibilities, and I have to give them a chance." Again, I responded that when you know it is a stupid move and will affect our people's future and economy, you stand up and speak up. Instead, we allow what our governments do all the time: knowingly wait for the disaster to happen or a problem like this to happen, and start spending ten times the taxpayers' money that could have been paid in the first place when you recognized the problem—Leaky Homes, Wellington Hostel Fire, 2023 North Island Floods, etc. These have cost us 10x of billions, and worst of all, our people suffered in reality and lost their loved ones. All in the name of the "let's wait and fix" mindset of our past and current governments. Isn't it ironic that they always say they don't have money to fix small problems? Yet, when we have significant disasters (that could be prevented by preparing our communities with bite-sized budgets), the last government and this government have lots of money to help. Am I always right with my comments and opinions? My response would be no. However, the discussion still starts to find the best outcome for our whānau, communities, people, and the present & future of our country. In my whānau, I am one of the co-leaders to provide the best outcome for my whānau. Yet everyone in my whānau has a voice to speak up, including my 9-year-old, and share their opinions along with their ideas that matter. This does not mean I am a weak co-leader by listening to others in order to focus on the best outcome for my whānau. I firmly believe that when it comes to leadership of your country. It's not about who is right or wrong when making decisions for the people or the country. It's all about deciding for the greater good of the people of your country. Where are you now, pro-government cheerleaders?

Private jet charter:Are you considering chartering a private jet? If so, you are certainly not alone. Each year, a large number of individuals arrive at the decision to charter a private jet. As the popularity of private jet charters continues to grow, so does the number of private jet chartering companies.
