🎉 Celebrating a Decade of Tech Talent Link! 🚀 As we approach our 10th anniversary, it's incredible to look back at the journey that brought us here. A whole decade of building connections, fostering relationships, and linking technology professionals to their dream careers. But before we officially became Tech Talent Link, there were pivotal moments that shaped our identity. Ten years ago, as I embarked on the adventure of starting a new business, the first crucial decision was choosing a name that would embody our mission and values. Here are some of the thoughts that swirled in my mind at the time: 🔍 We were set to be a technical staffing firm, so I knew "technical" had to be part of the name to reflect our expertise. 💡 I envisioned our company as more than just a business; it would be a place for developing meaningful relationships and connecting tech professionals. 📚 My daughter, a passionate English major, made it clear that we should avoid alternative spellings and keep it clear and simple. I remember sitting with a pile of index cards, each one bearing a single word that could potentially find its place in our company's title. I rearranged them, combined them, and then checked if those domains were available. While my first choice was already taken, it was a serendipitous moment, because that's when "Tech Talent Link" caught my eye. The more I looked at it, the more it grew on me, and now, I can't imagine our company being called anything else. Our journey has been filled with incredible connections and partnerships, and our name, Tech Talent Link, has become a symbol of what we stand for. It's not just a name; it's a reflection of our commitment to bridging the gap between technology and talent. It even played a vital role in shaping our logo, a visual representation of our values. I can't count how many times people have asked about what I do, and when I said I was in cybersecurity or worked for a tech or cybersecurity company, they asked if I was in marketing. But then when there were women in cybersecurity events, they excluded the women in marketing or PR, and only highlighted the researchers or engineers. It's complex and sometimes uncomfortable: but let's address that there is gender bias in tech and cybersecurity and work for more diversity and inclusion!
