CEO & Director Anagenics (ASX : AN1) | A no-BS approach to transforming business for growth | CEO & Executive Coaching | Author | Speaker
The Secret Sauce: Balancing Heart and Head 💙🧠 I make no secret of the fact that my role as CEO of Ella Bache was the highlight of my corporate career. It was where I joined the dots from my previous 2 roles and defined my personal leadership style. It was when I realised the power of balancing heart and head as the secret ingredient to creating robust, authentic and sustainable businesses 🌱. I was honoured to be awarded the NSW Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award for my role in leading the strategic, financial and operational turnaround of this fabulous 50 yr old iconic brand, but I was just as proud of how we managed and led that change. We did it with integrity and respect for the brand’s history, the loyal and committed client base, and the team but with a blind determination to create a clear and certain roadmap forward for long term growth. A balance of heart and head, in a previously ‘heart only’ business, was critical ⚡. We started with the brand story, family values, loyalty and respect and the many stories that made up this iconic brand. We identified where the brand sat currently in the market now, as opposed to decades ago and how the brand wanted to be perceived. Our team worked for 2 years - lawyers, salon owners, wholesalers and the ACCC, to curate a plan for operational and financial turnaround with the heart and soul of the brand firmly planted at the centre. As I often say to people when they ask what happened at Ella Bache - ‘we built a business system around the love.’ 💪 💬 Did you have a standout moment or role in your corporate career that you're proud of? Share in the comments and let’s celebrate together! 👇👇👇 #vision #passion #heart #businessauthenticity #transformation #ceo

SVP, Adecco I Executive Leadership | Total Talent Management I Digital Transformation | Revenue Profitability Growth
This week a dynamic leadership group of colleagues from Adecco North America gathered in Nevada to visit with an industry leader in the gaming and content creation space to present our workforce solutions strategy. There was a diverse blend of talent and expertise on both sides of the table that fueled an in-depth discussion. There's a genuine excitement that comes from sitting with potential buyers and presenting a meticulously crafted solution designed to tackle their key business challenges. It's a mix of confidence and anticipation, knowing that all the hard work and preparation are about to culminate in one pivotal moment. As you dive into the presentation, there is nothing better than when you detect that sense of connection and engagement, seeing eyes light up with understanding and appreciation. The atmosphere becomes charged with a blend of confidence and empathy, as you demonstrate a deep understanding of their needs and showcase how your solution can transform their business. This shared journey towards a common goal is not just fulfilling but incredibly motivating, reinforcing the impact of collaboration and innovation in solving real-world problems. I am so proud of this group because their preparation was evident, and helped to ensure that every detail was fine-tuned to perfection. Everything we did was underscored by a collective commitment to place the customer at the heart, which led to an amazing visit. Director of Sales & Marketing at Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa | PCH Hotels & Resorts | LION
How do you celebrate and recognize talent and a job well done? Some people believe that people are only motivated by monetary reward, but I don’t buy it. While that’s important, I don’t think it stands alone as the only motivating factor. I believe people long to be seen, heard, and appreciated by their peers. That’s why at Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa our #Sales & #Events #Team has a bi-weekly award ceremony. We call it our “Simply the Best” award. It’s real simple. I set up a google form and emailed the link to our team. It has all the folks on our team listed with a radio button by their name. Team members can nominate up to two people and then they get to share the “WHY?” behind their nominations. This past Friday, the newest member of our team, William Scanland, won the award. Here’s what some of our team shared about Will: “Will hasn't been here long and has already proven how awesome he is! He does his job extremely well, and catches on quickly. Not only is he great at his job, but he's always willing to lend me a hand with trash, stocking water, moving things around, etc. Really love having him on our team!” “Will is AMAZING at his job, timely, and never annoyed with us!! (or he doesn't show it) he is always willing to help us in any way - he doesn't miss anything either, and I am so happy he isn't sick of us and will still hang out with everyone outside of work! #teambonding” “Will is such a great asset to the team! He is super-efficient at his job and always has a positive attitude!” - Excellence - Competence - Doing more than is expected - Not easily flustered - Enjoys others - Invests in the relationship! - Efficient and Effective - Positive Attitude Who wouldn’t want someone with these characteristics in their team? However, how many of us have people with these characteristics on our team, but never take the opportunity to acknowledge how this impacts us, our team, our clients? Challenge - see the good and praise it…put a system in place to celebrate your people. Praise their competence and their character! Let’s go!

Empowering the next generation of leaders to fulfill their potential and live their purpose through work-life harmony.
Recognition. "the public acknowledgment of a person's status or merits." We recently acknowledged and showed appreciation to several colleagues, including yours truly, for their achievements in 2023 at our Sales Kick Off summit last week. Not just sales quota, but in demonstrating our core values. I feel really proud of exceeding my targets and creating the impact for my amazing clients. It is a privilege to work day in day out with caring, intelligent, strategic and human-centric professionals in HR, Talent, L&D, People & Culture. Recognition can go a long way - it helps in: - Building morale - Instilling confidence - Shining a light of appreciation on individuals - Making people feel valued - Increasing likelihood of an employee staying at the company - Advocating for an emotional sense of wellbeing and triumph without reliance solely on financial rewards - Reminding us that employees' collective hard work is a driving force for the company's future aspirations - Showcasing a company's performance culture where capability comes from a widespread diverse group of humans This 'EZRA Coaching Outstanding Employee Recognition' piece of paper really does go a long way. Thank you to our NA sales leaders: Cynthia Stuckey, Jo Smith, Carol Morabito, Curt Garbett, Michael R Stinson, Jessica Farnsworth, Matt Kosiorowski and all the deserving SalesEzranauts who were recognized (not all included here!). Hope we can continue this great show of recognition! #recognition #awareness #celebration #sales #achievement #merit #coaching #talent #employeeappreciation

** James Timpson honoured for outstanding leadership at CMI Awards Gala** I was recently listening to an interview with James Timpson and it was very interesting to hear some of his comments when he first started working for Timpson Group, the company previously owned by his father, John Timpson. When James started working in Timpson branches, he found that he was beating all the other branches in terms of both turnover and profit. James admits that was nothing to do with him being any better than any of the other store managers, it was all down to the fact that James didn’t have to follow any rules, whereas all the store managers had a strict set of rules to follow. James was able to discount the work he did, and often did work for free, and found that led to a huge increase in sales and profits. So, when he became CEO, he gave free rein to all the store managers and that resulted in a huge improvement across the whole business. He is also well known for advocating the employment of former prisoners, and now around 12% of Timpson’s 5,000 strong workforce across 2,076 branches either has a criminal conviction or has been directly recruited from custody. So, it was great to hear that James has been recognised for his leadership skills at the recent CMI annual President’s Dinner. The Gold Medal award for outstanding achievement was presented to James Timpson OBE DL, CEO of Timpson, in recognition of his remarkable leadership in helping the business to grow, notably through his commitment to a culture of trust and kindness in the company’s approach to recruitment. Had the opportunity to join the Korn Ferry Executive Sales Leader Lunch Forum last week. What an honor it was to be part of this “sales think tank per se;” surrounded by great minds and commercial leaders from Google , Deutsche Telekom , Nokia , etc - executives from all across the information, telco & technology community. One of the key areas that we discussed was how companies are investing in their people and more specifically how to arrive at high performance during turbulent times. Is it Mindset, Skillset, or Toolset that is more important? Typically, we see businesses focus training on upskilling their teams on technology - key areas relative to their business; we see money being invested in all sorts of tools for forecasting, customer management, etc. But what about Mindset; is this something you can train for; does it evolve naturally; is a survival instinct that kicks in based on some sort of event? Lots of mixed views in the room and the majority view is that high performance is a blend of mindset skillset. In my opinion skills can be learned; tools can improve visibility and efficiency, but Mindset and the byproducts it derives is what set high performers apart and determine success. Recommend watching a few of Simon Sinek's videos, and/or read some of the publications by Jack Canfield Companies (my favorite "The Power of Focus") as provides valuable insight on mindset and power of optimism. Thank You #kornferry Gabriel Tsavaris Faith Lee for the invitation. See you next time!
