🇲🇽Today at Confindustria we had the honor of welcoming the Mexican Ambassador, Carlos Eugenio Garcia De Alba Zepeta. The prospects for further growth in industrial and commercial collaboration between Italy and Mexico are extensive and highly interesting. This applies both to Mexican companies investing in Italy, particularly in the tourism and agri-food sectors, and to Italian companies investing in Mexico, which currently number around 2.300, including 150 with productive investments in sectors such as automotive, mechanical, fashion, and agri-food. In trade with Mexico, Italy is the second-largest EU country after Germany. In the first few months of 2024, trade has increased by 10.20% compared to the period of January to March 2023. But what fascinated me most about the meeting, and what I consider a reason for learning and growth, is the history of the country's economy and its relations with Italy through the centuries. This year, we are celebrating 150 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries🎉
