#BehindTheDesk: Meet Aditi Jha, our dynamic Brand Engineer, known for her infectious energy at work. We sat down with Aditi for a lighthearted Q&A—check out her fun responses below! Describe yourself in three words. Resilient, Versatile, and Vivacious. What do you love the most about working at Conde Nast? What I love most about working at Conde Nast is the diversity and the opportunity to contribute to iconic global brands like GQ, CN Traveller, Architectural Digest, The New Yorker,Allure, and more. I'm grateful for the chance to have transitioned from being a loyal young reader to a young coder and witnessing things from the other side now! My passion for the work CN does was apparent during the training period as well, I would always be curious to learn new things and use my skills, which got me the first place on the freshers leaderboard! Conde Nast meticulously embodies its core values at every level, which is something I truly admire and resonate with. What's the most fascinating project you've worked on so far, and what made it stand out to you? The most captivating project I've been involved in so far was onboarding brands and the international markets that they span into our in-house digital platform. This project stood out to me because I had to work ground up to personalize user experiences and boost engagement. Witnessing how our efforts directly influenced user satisfaction, retention metrics, and notably expanded our subscription base was incredibly rewarding. Winning the 2024 hackathon was another highlight for me! If you could collaborate with any fictional character on a project, who would it be and why? If I could collaborate with any fictional character on a project, it would definitely be Bruce Wayne aka Batman. His unparalleled detective skills, strategic mindset, and access to advanced technology would make for an intriguing and highly productive partnership. Plus, who wouldn't want to work on some cutting-edge technology with the charming Dark Knight himself? If you were to describe your role as a Brand Engineer in a hashtag, what would it be? #TheDevilCodesPrada

I could write about how my mentor anointed me and sent me into the world to do good work, and how scary it was. I could tell you about how I lost my first job after only a month, or about my worries that I wasn't doing good enough work. But I won’t dwell on those. Instead, I want to share how great this year has been and how, over the last six months, I've grown both in my career and personal life. It's been a roller coaster with beautiful highs and definite lows. I've grown through all of these experiences, and my major takeaways are: - Always try to be consistent: It may seem cliché, but consistency is key. Keeping up with the latest trends and navigating the tech world can be challenging, but the best thing you can do for your career is to remain consistent. - Post your work: I admit I don't always follow this advice, but you'll never get the visibility your career needs if you don't show the world what you can do. Putting yourself out there is important, and the best way to do this is by sharing your work. - Do not procrastinate: I've struggled with procrastination, which I consider an affliction. No matter how hard I try to work, I often end up postponing tasks until I get tired or lose interest. Break down your tasks into small pieces, and tackle each tiny bit until the whole task is complete. As I come to the end of this post, I must emphasize the importance of creating a routine. Set alarms, and you can never go wrong with them. Most importantly, always do the work. Happy New Month. #uidesigner #uiux #happynewmonth

This week I directed a symphony… Most of the work I do, and oversee, is done remotely via email, text, and video calls. I typically coordinate everything without being in person. This week it was different, I was physically present in the office. The work we did was intense yet amazing. My interns and I had an in-person project. I was hesitant to give the interns a lot of work because I needed to make sure things would be done correctly. Then the thought came to me, “They can do it, you just need to direct them”. So I did just that, I gave instructions for each task. These two talented people were magicians with their computers as we worked together to build documents, surveys, content, and more. They continuously got instructions for the next assignment as they were wrapping up the one they were busy with. There was little interruption and lots of efficiency & productivity. It was like orchestrating a symphony, with lots of things going on but in the most harmonious way. By the time we were done, I thought maybe it was just me who felt the adrenaline of those 2 hours of grinding out work, until one of them said out loud, “That was fire!”. With smiles on our faces, we left and performed a case study for our product. I have worked in remote environments for almost 4 years and I love it… but there’s nothing like being able to high-five your team after overcoming a challenge and seeing them perform live. I cannot express how grateful I am for these 2 insightful individuals who, believe it or not, I got working with me almost by accident as I was not originally looking for any interns. This experience reminded me of a few things; - Having the right people in the right place can and does make the difference. - Trusting your team makes things go better. - People are amazing. - Learning how to drive the boat without touching it, it’s hard yet, we need to. #internship #product #controlgroup #leadership #workingremote #WorkingInPerson #UX #software #seftwaredevelopment Kate Grow (Bailey)Irish Wolfe

Hi everyone! This is Feby and I want to share a reflection from my last Career Readiness Class in GIGIH 3.0. It was about design thinking. What is it? Design thinking is like human-centered approach to create a creative problem solving. We do design thinking by analyzing and understanding consumer needs then we focus on it. We usually have to think outside the box in order to get innovative solutions based on consumer needs. By doing this, we got a lot of benefits, not only for our business but also for ourselves. For example, we can increase our customer's loyalty by giving them creative problem solutions with design thinking. We also can strengthen our relationship with our customers by knowing and understanding their needs. This mutualism symbiosis surely can increase our business profits if it continues in a long term way. How do we do design thinking? There are five steps for us to do design thinking. What are they? 1. Empathize First, we have to understand our users and their needs with empathy before thinking about the solution. Empathy can makes us understand our users and their needs more in emotional way so they will gain more trust on us to solve their problems. 2. Define After understanding customer's needs, we have to define their problems with our own insights. We can use storyboarding to visualize our idea and prioritize matrix to determine our priority. 3. Ideate Generate our creative ideas to get creative solutions. We can use brainstorming techniques to gather ideas and innovations for the best solutions. 4. Prototype After visualizing our ideas, we have to turn it into tangibel model or sketch. Prototype helps us to get better decisions whether our ideas are enough for our customers or not. We can use pencil, paper or any other things. 5. Test The last step is do a test to our ideas and kindly ask for feedback from our target audience. This feedback can help us to improve our ideas for a better solutions. Those are the insights that I can share about design thinking from my latest Career Readiness Class in GIGIH 3.0. Hopefully, this post will help you to improve yourself like it did to me. Last words, thank you for reading this post and have a nice day!! #GenerasiGIGIH #BergerakBerdampakBersama #FutureReadyTalent #YABB #GoToImpactFoundation

This Summer at ReadyAI, I worked with over 40 GenZ Interns worldwide. Here is what I've learned from them. 🌌 Diving deep into the #GenZ whirlpool, and I'm taking you along! 🛸 Picture this: A college grad stepping into our buzzing Pittsburgh East Liberty office. The wonder in their eyes speaks of both awe and a pang of IRL nostalgia. But then, amidst the hum, they wonder, "Was the 9-5 grind always this way?” 😲 Here's the #GenZTea ☕️: Suits? Lengthy board meetings? Out. Digital spaces, mental well-being, passion, and PURPOSE? In. By 2030, they'll be a THIRD of the workforce, reshaping how we work. There's talk about Gen Z wanting it easy. But remember: the pandemic was their initiation. They've adapted, evolved, and now, they're REIMAGINING work. At #ReadyAI, we're catching this wave 🌊: 1️⃣ Embrace hybrid models. 2️⃣ Value authenticity. 3️⃣ Revamp job listings; be welcoming! 4️⃣ Empower & Elevate. 5️⃣ Celebrate diversity. 6️⃣ Lead with heart & vision. Their anthem? "Craft workspaces where hearts connect, minds innovate, and spirits fly high." 🌟 Join us as we open the doors wider to this energetic generation and build magic and meaning together. Here's to a brighter, more inclusive future! 🌠🚀

Helping You Design A Happy and Fulfilling Career | Career Coach & University Professor | Resume Writer | Interview Expert | LinkedIn Profile Optimizer | ICF ACC Certified
I’m happy to announce I have recently taken over leadership as Editor of the Experience Magazine, a publication of CEIA - Cooperative Education and Internship Association. https://lnkd.in/gQ-wvdaw Content Direction Publishing can be a daunting task and many of us just simply do not have time to commit to writing multi-paged articles in peer-reviewed journals that take years of editing iterations! That’s where EM comes in! In EM, you will find articles written by scholars, practitioners, students, and employers/partners. Some are longer, full research articles, while others are short (500-750 words) written pieces in areas such as curriculum development, design thinking, project implementation, program management and marketing, employer relationships and development, data management and collection, mentorship and self-advocacy for example. Seeking Contributions For 2024 I am currently seeking contributions for March 2024 and October 2024 publication and would value your participation. If not you, is there anyone you can forwarded this to that might be interested? We are also now welcoming contributions from undergraduate students and graduate students so please consider sharing this with your students as well. Due Dates If you would like to be considered for March publication, please respond to via email ([email protected]) by February 1 with topic idea(s). Pieces will be approved on February 2 via email. After being accepted, pieces will be due to me by February 23 for initial editing review and then sent to the publisher the first week of March for an end of March publication. Thank you for your time and consideration (and for making it to the end of this message!). If you aren’t sure your idea or topic is appropriate, please reach out and let’s discuss.

HR - Holistyczne Rozwiązania ✌️ || Head of HR and Talent Development at tribe47 || Co-creator of Talent47
Around 5th year of our lives we develop more advanced problem-solving skills, we get more creative and outspoken... Around 5th year in one company, I must say it is similar 😂 🎉 Today is my 5th official anniversary at tribe47 😮 I am so grateful for these great years. For my anniversary speech I shared with the team 5 lessons that I've learned from each year at tribe47, and of course I am going to share them here as well. 2018: Speak up 🗣 ! Even if you are an intern. Your perspective is unique, the fact that you have less skills does not mean you are less smart or important. And especially speak up if you think something is wrong! 2019: Just try new things 🤸♂️ ! Even if you think you won’t like something, or you are not skilled enough to do something. As HR in marketing agency I tested maaany different approaches and processes, I also did sales, copywriting, learned a bit email automation, and many more. Some of those new things I hated! Some i truly loved. All of them gave me a lot. 2020: Get to know your core values 💓 ! Understanding what is for you the most important and what leads you in decision making process is a key to happiness at work. If your values are at least 60% aligned with your company culture, you will definately have less struggles at work. It’s really hard to be effective and happy if you constantly feel like your core values are challenged 8h per day 2021: POKORA 🙆♀️ be humble - but not about how badass you are - about your work-journey. Know your value not only based on the "market" or comparison to others. Know how much you give from yourself and try to understand what you want to get in exchange. During every step of your career. This is a life-long path, running fast towards the ultimate goal can burn you out. Being humble and aware of your abilities in the very moment, can actually save you during hard times. 2022: You should feel at least one of those two all the time at work: Fulfilment and/or Joy 😊 ! If the task is super hard or boring, at least it should give you satisfaction. If the task is not elevating your skills, or does not challenge you - you should at least have fun doing it! If you do not have one of those 2 at any moment, you should speak up about it! 2023: ? to be summarised soon! Last but not least I want to thank Ewa Wysocka for trusting me with basically everything I do! Mariya Kallagova for being work and life bestii 😂 It is amazing to have someone in the team that you can fully trust! Nataliia Palii and Eduarda Korniienko for being the operations team of my dreams!! Szymon Owczarek for believing in talent47 when it didn't even fully exisit, and to Dominika Petrykowska for elevating talent47 quality of services to another level, and joining now HR team of tribe47! And tribe47 current team, and all ex-tribers - thank you! 😍 Time to start year 6! #anniversary
