It’s a wrap! We have just closed our third global Belonging Day – an internal event where we focus on all things diversity, equity, and inclusion. It was my honor to jointly open the event earlier today with our excellent event host Andrea Carman. I want to thank all of today’s inspiring speakers as well as the many ‘behind the scenes’ colleagues who brought this wonderful event to life. Some of the topics we covered were generational inclusion, systemic racism, ableism, gender equity and employee networks, as well as how to be better allies for the transgender community. My key takeaway? That when we create a safe space for our people to have these important conversations, we all grow and benefit. What the world needs right now is more tolerance, more empathy and more belonging. #BelongingTransforms

Leading with a purpose. | I bring innovative, technical and financial solutions to large, complex infrastructure programmes at every stage of their lifecycles.
The role of allyship extends beyond supporting specific communities; it's about cultivating an environment where diverse ideas and perspectives can thrive. As we enter Pride Month, we are reminded of the broader significance of inclusivity in the workplace. Embracing diversity isn't just a moral imperative; it's a business one. Research consistently show that diverse teams are more innovative and perform better. By fostering a culture where every voice is heard and valued—regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, or background—we open the door to a wider range of insights, creativity, and solutions. My commitment to allyship, whether it pertains to the LGBTQIAP community or any other underrepresented group, is rooted in the conviction that the best ideas emerge from the most diverse perspectives. #PrideMonth #InclusiveLeadership #DiversityInBusiness #AllyshipInAction #DiverseWorkforce

Navigating employment: Prejudice and discrimination loom large in the journey to access and maintain jobs, impacting hiring, pay, and retention. LGBTQ2S employees reveal instances of mistreatment from colleagues, managers, and clients, encompassing harassment and reluctance to collaborate. These challenges, linked to gender and/or sexual identity, also intersect with other aspects like race, age, or ability. This underscores the pressing demand for inclusivity and equality in the workplace. To learn more, check out this report, at https://lnkd.in/gmh3vXMV #InclusiveWorkplaces #EqualityForAll #PrideMonth

Trans Visibility | It is about being seen. It is about human rights. That is all everyone wants. And that should not be too much to expect. Today is #InternationalTransgenderDayofVisibility, a celebration of transgender and non-binary people worldwide and the courage it takes to live openly and authentically. We also utilize this day to raise awareness about the discrimination and violence that trans individuals still face. So, here are some of the equal rights for every non-binary person that their corporate workplace must possess. Respect their identity, not just their title. Every non-binary employee deserves a workplace that uses their chosen name and pronouns, offers inclusive facilities, and fosters a culture of acceptance. Our team thrives on the unique talents of everyone, regardless of how they identify. Equality isn't a spectrum, it's a right. We stand for the inclusion and respect of non-binary individuals in our workplace. Our commitment goes beyond words. We're actively fostering a culture that celebrates the diverse identities of our non-binary colleagues. Join us in building a workplace where everyone feels valued. #OmazingOpusing #Opusing #TransgenderVisibilityweek #staffingsolutions #opusingllc #ITStaffing #HiringSolutions

In the landscape of corporate policies, transgender inclusion emerges as a critical yet often overlooked facet. Establishing effective practices demands a nuanced understanding of the unique challenges and considerations encountered by transgender individuals within professional environments. At the forefront lies the necessity for comprehensive policies explicitly addressing transgender inclusion. From nondiscrimination measures to restroom and dress code accommodations, clarity and specificity are paramount. Equally crucial is the implementation of robust education and training initiatives, equipping employees and management alike with the understanding and tools to foster a culture of respect and inclusivity. Flexibility serves as another cornerstone of successful transgender inclusion policies. Recognizing and accommodating the diverse needs of transgender employees – whether in terms of healthcare support, time off for medical appointments, or workplace adjustments – is essential. By prioritizing flexibility and accommodation, organizations demonstrate a commitment to upholding the well-being and dignity of all employees, irrespective of gender identity. #TransInclusion #DiversityandInclusion #CorporatePolicies #WorkplaceEquality #LGBTQInclusion #EmployeeWellBeing #InclusiveWorkspaces #GenderDiversity #EquityandRespect #TransRights

Today and every day, we want to contribute to a fair and inclusive society and build a world where everyone can feel at home. This includes creating an inclusive workplace where people of all sexual orientations and gender identities feel welcomed, and are treated equally and on fair terms. ”Ensuring that our coworkers feel like they can be their true selves at work is highly important. In regular anonymous surveys, we ask our coworkers about their well-being and inclusion at work. Even with very positive results, we remain committed to continuous improvement, making sure no one feels the need to cover up or downplay any aspect of their identity at work”, says Teresia Palm, Chief People and Communications Officer. On today’s #IDAHOT, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, we want to contribute to creating awareness about the day and the need for greater acceptance, inclusion, and equality for all people. 💖🧡💛💚💙💜 #idahot #ikanoforeveryone #fairandinclusive #inclusion #equality
