It’s a wrap! We have just closed our third global Belonging Day – an internal event where we focus on all things diversity, equity, and inclusion. It was my honor to jointly open the event earlier today with our excellent event host Andrea Carman. I want to thank all of today’s inspiring speakers as well as the many ‘behind the scenes’ colleagues who brought this wonderful event to life.  Some of the topics we covered were generational inclusion, systemic racism, ableism, gender equity and employee networks, as well as how to be better allies for the transgender community. My key takeaway? That when we create a safe space for our people to have these important conversations, we all grow and benefit.   What the world needs right now is more tolerance, more empathy and more belonging. #BelongingTransforms

Trans Visibility | It is about being seen. It is about human rights. That is all everyone wants. And that should not be too much to expect. In the landscape of corporate policies, transgender inclusion emerges as a critical yet often overlooked facet. Establishing effective practices demands a nuanced understanding of the unique challenges and considerations encountered by transgender individuals within professional environments. At the forefront lies the necessity for comprehensive policies explicitly addressing transgender inclusion. From nondiscrimination measures to restroom and dress code accommodations, clarity and specificity are paramount. Equally crucial is the implementation of robust education and training initiatives, equipping employees and management alike with the understanding and tools to foster a culture of respect and inclusivity. Flexibility serves as another cornerstone of successful transgender inclusion policies.
