Have you ever experienced being interviewed online and finding out that the person on the screen is not the same one you're talking to? It seems that this is becoming a trend in online interviews. Some people are using lip-syncing technology to trick interviewers into believing that they are the ones being interviewed. It's important to remain vigilant and confirm the identity of the person you're speaking with to avoid being misled. Stay informed and aware during your online interviews to ensure that you're making the right decisions for your career. are there any solutions which can check this??? or any one working to avoid this?

The STAR technique. This is a great technique for candidates looking to stand out in a behaviroual interview process. Personally, I sometimes suggest adding an 'L' for learnings: Explain what you learned from this process and what you would do differently in a similar situation next time around. STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action, and Result. 🔹 Situation: Describe the context or situation you were in. 🔹 Task: Explain the specific task or goal you were working towards. 🔹 Action: Detail the actions you took to address the situation or task. 🔹 Result: Share the outcome of your actions, highlighting your achievements. Using the STAR method can help you provide structured and compelling answers that demonstrate your skills and experience to potential employers. Have you used the STAR technique in interviews? Share your experiences below! #InterviewTips #STARtechnique #JobSearch

Tip of the day. If you have any, please share in the comments. You might help someone land their dream job. Here's a thread to help all fresh graduates appearing for interviews. - Giving examples of other companies in interviews is good but don't forget to link them to the company you're interviewing for. Do extensive research before quoting examples because they can make you stand out significantly.

The worst interview experience is when you call 15 minutes before the interview that had been scheduled days in advance asking for the dial-in info, and somehow only the emails that contain that information don’t make it to you. You wait for 45 minutes and finally receive the information via text, and join in, only to see everyone has left the meeting. You then ask the team to join back, and nobody does. What’s happened to this industry in the past few years? Have we forgotten how to schedule interviews now? The next worst experience is when an interview becomes subjective as opposed to objective to the requirements of the job. To hear for two/three interviews that “you have been an excellent fit for the job” only to then be told “but one of our interviewers is of an opinion that you could be a better fit for another role”. Then they ask you to apply for that role only to not even select you for an interview. Not to mention, these are BIG companies. I am only hoping these experiences are temporary.

I think that behind a candidate’s adaptability and flexibility at work depends on the heights and depths of his or her ambition and commitment. What separates the higher ups and the doers are their ability to sustain their ambition, not relying on motivations alone but maintaining and developing their good working habits, and ensures that their soft skills and hard skills are evolving. Their goals will always be invincible to changes in corporate management, in their new roles, and in world trends as a whole that which keeps their company relevant.
What is the goal behind recruiters' questions during job interviews? While a candidate's skills, qualifications, and cultural fit are top priorities, Amira Chelghoum, head of talent acquisition at Biogen, suggests that recruiters also focus on other aspects. To evaluate problem-solving skills, interviewers may present hypothetical scenarios or ask about how candidates have addressed challenges in the past. Assessing a candidate's adaptability and flexibility involves asking about their approach to change in previous roles. Passion and enthusiasm could be measured by observing how the interviewee discusses their industry or the company’s mission. How would you answer an interview question about past challenges? I would like to share something about my current interview process and this is nothing against it but perhaps merely a perspective. Technical interviews often test your knowledge of specific systems and practices, but expecting candidates to recall the minute details of every system they've administered over a long career is unrealistic. Such interviews can disadvantage experienced professionals who are kinesthetic learners, as they learn and demonstrate skills through hands-on experience rather than memorization. This approach might overlook a candidate's practical abilities and adaptability, valuing test-taking skills over real-world problem-solving and innovation. It raises the question of whether current interview practices effectively identify talent or merely screen for the ability to recall specific facts under pressure.

Give candidates time to think between interviews. 3 interviews in 3 days sounds ideal. And, it works for certain positions. Once you start talking about: Director, VP, and C-suite positions. Candidates need to be all in. I'm not saying you need to have 1-2 weeks between each round... But, allow candidates the time to think and make sure this is something they really want to sign up for. Especially if you're a start up or in the hyper growth stage.

When you get a call for an interview, make sure to follow these steps to get ready: Study the Job Description: Take a close look at the job description once more. Note any skills or parts of the job you're not as familiar with and look into potential questions related to those areas. Learn About the Company: Get to know the company's background and procedures by doing some research. This will allow you to anticipate and get ready for questions about their specific methods, which might be different from what you've experienced before. I trust these suggestions will lead you to success in your interviews.
