The ThrombUS project was presented at the EMBEC2024 conference held in beautiful Portorož, Slovenia from June 9th to 13th. Our project manager Stylianos Didaskalou delivered an insightful presentation titled "Towards Wearable Continuous Point-of-Care Monitoring for Deep Vein Thrombosis of the Lower Limb." This short talk provided an overview of our innovative approach for better management and monitoring of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Stylianos highlighted the work of the ThrombUS consortium for developing a wearable device that will allow the continuous, real-time monitoring of DVT in the lower limbs. The ThrombUS device will provide early detection and timely intervention, reducing the risk of complications associated with DVT. The feedback and interest from attendees at EMBEC 2024 were positive, reinforcing the importance and potential impact of our work.
