Expressing genuine gratitude spreads positivity not only for those receiving the gratitude, but for those giving it. Last year I started a "Preceptor Shout Out" program, where we invite students to recognize a preceptor who made a positive difference in their training experience. I have the privilege of creating a graphic and contacting the preceptor to share the words of recognition. The responses that I get back are so uplifting and confirm that sometimes a little word of thanks can go a long way. If you are working with partner organizations, consider creating a mechanism to recognize those partners. This could also work internally, too! https://lnkd.in/eHbGxDde

This Teacher Appreciation Week is an opportune moment to reflect on the invaluable role educators play in shaping our future. Teachers are unsung heroes, dedicating themselves to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning. Yet, many educators face significant challenges in their roles, from inadequate funding for classroom supplies to limited access to professional development opportunities. Beyond appreciation, it's time to take tangible action to stand up for our teachers and ensure they have the resources and support necessary to thrive in our communities. As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, let's commit to more than just words of gratitude. Let's advocate for the resources, support, and recognition our teachers deserve. This means lobbying for increased funding and improved working conditions, organizing movements within our communities to raise awareness, and encouraging investment in professional development opportunities. More ways to support can be found in this article: https://lnkd.in/gBuAHRhi Together, we can empower educators to continue making a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals, shaping a brighter future for generations to come. #TeacherAppreciationWeek #SupportTeachers #EducationMatters #TeacherLove #ThankATeacher #GratitudeInEducation #EmpowerEducators #TeachingInspiration #EducationAdvocacy #CommunityImpact #FutureLeaders #TeacherEmpowerment #ClassroomSupport #ProfessionalDevelopment #EducatorRecognition Lori Woodley-Langendorff, MS, PPS

We had an enriching Masterclass on "The Compassionate Classroom," facilitated by Greshma Momaya. The session explored ways to create an environment where compassion, understanding, and support thrive, positively impacting both students and educators. Key takeaways included strategies that can be employed to foster an inclusive learning space. Let's continue to embrace compassion in our classrooms, fostering growth, resilience, and success for all. Hamid Hasan Rakhee Chhabria Shilpi Srivastav

Teacher Appreciation Week is the first week of May, and we're here to help everyone yell, "THANK YOU" from the rooftops! (But get down quickly before a teacher catches you.) There are more than 4 million public and private school teachers in the U.S. Of course, that number multiplies when you expand into higher education and into the world of training, development, mentors, and other roles. It's generally agreed upon that teachers are amazing people who are underpaid and underappreciated. YOU can make a difference in how teachers feel - this week and year-round. https://lnkd.in/gkaqWguy #TeacherAppreciationWeek #teachers #thankyouteachers #teacherappreciation
