Ukraine 2024 is the fourth start-up competition that I have been involved in. I am very proud that this program has managed to attract innovators from all over Europe. We have seen dozens of applications from gifted, motivated people and learned a lot about their products, technologies and the challenges they solve. I met founders from very early stages as well as from advanced companies – and all of them have two things in common: They believe in their great and capable teams and have the ambition to scale their business internationally with a strong partner on their side. This in itself is a fantastic experience. What I enjoyed most, though, is to foster and see people grow within the course of months, sometimes only weeks. I look forward to our next edition, the “BoostUp! Ukraine 2024”, where we as the EIT Manufacturing team work closely together with the start-ups before and after the competition final. To meet the applicants, to prepare them for their pitches and enable them to get their messages across better is as important as the follow-up and will be helpful to internationalize the businesses of the winners to the next level.
