Coles Group has completed the acquisition of two automated milk processing facilities from Saputo Dairy Australia. 48 team members have joined as part of the transition, and the teams at the two new dairy facilities in Laverton North (VIC) and Erskine Park (NSW) will be led by Ian Bell, General Manager Dairy Operations.   Today marks a significant milestone on our journey to deliver consistently for customers, and will step change the resilience of our supply chain and security of our milk supply. It will also allow Coles to continue to build on the strong relationships we have developed with our dairy farmers, who we source over 200 million litres directly annually for our fresh milk products.   #ProudlyColes

Happy for the people, however the business strategy sounds to me like increased opportunity to drive farm gate prices even lower whilst maintaining retail shelf pricing.

I started my leadership career as a Foreman at a dairy facility just like this at the tender age of 20, many years ago in Scotland. Now I facilitate leadership development programs at Coles. Seems to me like 2 dots have just been linked 😆.
