š±JOINING HANDS FOR A GREEN VIETNAMš
On June 20, 2024, at the Community Support Center - EkoCenter in Hanoi, Coca-Cola Vietnam had the honor of collaborating with the Peopleās Committee of Duyen Thai Commune, the Womenās Union of Duyen Thai Commune, and Thuong Tin District, Hanoi, toĀ co-organize the meaningful event "For a Green Vietnam." The event saw the participation of over 500 delegates, including members of the women's union, residents, leaders and officials from the Party Committee, People's Committee, People's Council, Fatherland Front, and Women's Union in the area. Many members of Coca-Cola Vietnam also joined the event as volunteers. š¤
š Aimed at fostering a green, clean, and sustainable environment by raising community awareness on waste segregation at the source and recycling, particularly plastic waste, the program featured several prominent activities. These included educating residents on practical and effective environmental protection methods, such as waste segregation at the source, safe and economical electricity usage, an exhibition and the finale of the "Recycled plastic bottles and their continuing journey" contest, and providing waste segregation bins to underprivileged families.
āØ Notably, at the event, Coca-Cola Vietnam also donated 20 laptops with licensed software to students who excelled in their studies, won district and city-level awards, and came from disadvantaged backgrounds, including orphans and those with special difficulties under the district's sponsorship.
š Through the "For a Green Vietnam" event, Coca-Cola Vietnam hopes that the joint efforts of the government, businesses, and the active participation and commitment of the local residents will contribute to building a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable environment, while also helping to reduce household waste, especially plastic waste, in the environment.
