CoResolute CEO | Driving CRM Transformation for Mid-Market Clients Cost Effectively | AI Managed Services | Workflow Optimization
What I've learned 25 years of experience about goals. But first, a story... Over the last two months, I've been working with a builder on a new screened-in porch. Not your regular construction crew, two guys my age, closer to 50 than 40, true craftsmen who take their time and do things right at a fair price. The goal is a lovely finished porch that will allow me to escape the chaos of my home (in theory). I'm excited about the end goal. But I've seen this movie before. As a goal-oriented person, it usually goes something like this for me anyway. Set a goal > Execute plan, pivot, detour, stop, change course, progress, get in a zone, finish > Meet goal > Dopamine rush for a few days/weeks > What's next? Back to the story, I enjoy these fellas. They like to shoot the sh$t like I do. It feels like I'm talking to my cousins from VA. We are in similar stations in life. I learn from them. I ask questions. We iterate on plans. We pivot. And add lots of stuff not in the original plan. But I'm relishing it. Long after this project is over, I will consider these guys friends. I'm enjoying the journey. It brings me contentment. After the porch is built, I'll love it for a few months until my wild dog or sons run through the screen. The porch honeymoon will settle, and I will consider my next project. What's the point of this story? Not to debase goals. I think goals are necessary, but it took me a long time to appreciate the journey and stop always chasing, especially chasing other people's goals. Learn to love the process. I think that is one of the secrets to a good life. ***** Hi, I'm Jason, and I co-founded a company called CoResolute. Based in Austin, TX, we are a client-first Salesforce partner working with mid-market companies to solve their most complex RevOps challenges. If you enjoyed this post, follow me or leave a comment. Most software companies talk about how they are making the world a better place and improving people's lives. Very few offer tangible evidence. It's great to be a part of Copado where we hear stories like the one below. When developers' lives are better, turnover is reduced, costs are lowered, and quality and velocity improves...and everyone's life improves as a result.
To quote James Goodale , " I had several team members that had tremendous stress in their life, missed kids activities, missed family events, missed life opportunties due to the bridges setup for our escalations. I had several conversations with my team about the real impact to their personal life. We had one particullary bad case that resulted in such severe tension in thier marriage that they separated. This was 100% due to the way we needed the team to manage deployments to #Salesforce. #Copado not only helped that person with their marriage, it also helped several of us bring a better balance to their life including myself!" Marc Benioff , Jim Steele , Alix Douglas, Polly Sumner, Parker Harris , Miguel Milano, a young group of your users from Madrid are helping people leverage #salesforce to deliver the future. As I thought about why I am at #copado and my #journey this story has been at the centerpiece of my thoughts. Hopefully see it on 101 this week. #dreamforce2023

Learn about how IBM and Salesforce are looking at the intersection of platform AI to transform adoption of Clean Energy programs for utilities.
Super excited to share a white paper that my team (Joey Ramion, PMP, CSM, SA, Randy Cole, Maria Martinez, Arjun Sehgal, Aaron Bauhs, Nitin Malhotra, Shannon Miller) authored with Salesforce's utilities team (Kelly James, Larry Goldstein, Susie McMullan) about the power of the Salesforce platform AI-first process design to transform adoption of Clean Energy programs for utilities. Really proud of the work our teams are doing in the Clean Energy space together - and excited to share how E&U Cloud can be an accelerator for utilities looking to expand their Clean Energy programs, while engaging customers in a different way than utilities have historically. To be successful, utilities need to move beyond just transacting with customers and thinking about a more traditional marketing & customer engagement funnel - prospecting, seamless acquisition, nurturing customers & retention. In my work with utilities, these concepts often can feel like foreign concepts, especially for customer service teams who are used to being measured by minimizing AHT. cc: Juhi McClelland, Chris MacRitchie, Sean Campbell, Jennifer Quinlan, Al Jenkins, Antoine Beau, Bart Seidner, Matt Taylor, Matt Afflerbach, James Malone, Kal Crawford, Erik King, Manisha Vakharia, Kevin Martin See, Amit Bagga, Matt DeTroia, Jay Rumwell https://ibm.co/3EqLQS0

Check out this Salesforce IBM eBook, "The Customer-Centric Frontier for Modern Utilities". I love the focus on #marketing and the #customerexperience. E&U is not typically seen as a leader in the CX space but with a few strategic partnerships and adjustments, they will be.
