100% agree with Triin Jürgens here - Erik Arnold and Matthias Ploeg brought the goods to this TAFTIE training. I would add but a morsel of a thought. We are in an era of exponential complexity growth where linear models aren’t enough to bring results on national and regional scales. Hence the need for 3rd gen or systems innovation. But from experiences with different management systems we can see that thinking in systems and, even worse, systems of systems is something that comes naturally to only a very small number of people and could come not at all to others. So here’s the next challenge to innovation agencies - how to find, hire and manage systems-thinking people. Or grow them, maybe? More difficult still - where to find system-thinking leaders? 🤔
