Director at Carbon Counts

➡️ Can we account for carbon removal projects within the Paris Agreement? A couple of weeks back I participated in the 3rd International Negative Emissions Conference organised and hosted by Oxford Net Zero and CO₂RE - The Greenhouse Gas Removal Hub. There are too many highlights to pick out: catching up with old faces, meeting many new, and learning a lot from the research community. An absolute personal highlight and privilege was kicking off the plenary session on Measurement, reporting and verification (#MRV) for carbon dioxide removals (#CDR), alongside the truly brilliant Joanna House and David Ho. I pitched my particular take on the MRV and carbon accounting interfaces. Thanks again to Steve Smith, Cameron Hepburn and Myles Allen for the invitation and warm welcome - the University of Oxford just has this magical way of making everyone feel at home. And thanks also to Jasmin Kemper and Tim Dixon for their unwavering support.
