CRAs who travel often know the importance of a well-packed work bag. There are some essential items that you don’t realize you’ll want or need - until you want or need them and don’t have them! We are sharing five items for your work bag. #2 may be obvious, but after too many times leaving it at home or at a site or in a hotel room, we recommend buying one for home and one for your work bag. It’ll actually save you money - and time spent running to the store to get (another) new one. #5 is a must-have, as far as we are concerned. It easily slips in any work bag, and keeps you organized. Get the full list here: https://lnkd.in/gy7UcmnV Now, go organize your bag!

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐤? One of the fundamental reason to organise things is to minimise search time. If you think about it, Sort time and Search time are inversely proportional. More time spent on sorting things gives us instant access to things in need (aka less search time). Good sorting is all about anticipating ‘expected future searches’ and arrange things accordingly. For example, task for Steve Jobs’ house assistant is to ensure black turtle t-shirt is always on top of Jobs’ t-shirt stack. In Jobs’ case, task is relatively easy given he wears only black turtle t-shirts. 𝐁𝐮𝐭, 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐚 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡? It is difficult but predictable. In many use cases (if not all), last used items are the ones we need the most in future. Your work desk use case is definitely one among them. A pile of messy papers in your desk (or open tabs in browser) is perfectly (un)organised to minimise your search time as last used file will most likely be on the top of the pile. 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬? There is difference between keeping some books for reference vs bringing the whole library to your table. Bigger pile leads to more search time which defeats the whole purpose of sorting. As a thumb role, keep 2-3 days of working files in desk (or 8-10 working tabs in your browser). If it goes beyond that, create a new pile (or open a new window). Controlled messiness is what we need to be organized 🙂

Experienced Residential Property Manager | Renovation and New Construction Lease-Up | Alpharetta, GA "Because work IS personal."
When Employees Fail Accommodation Part Two At another office I worked at, I had a leasing consultant who loathed being on the computer. She could do computer work but it was slow. She was a total wizard at sales. I happen to be great with computers and type 100 wpm. As it was a lease-up, she loved when I would trade follow-up of my open prospects for entering in her lease applications. She would bring back prospects I couldn’t close because of her sheer magnificence (and yes I gave her the commission) which meant higher sales for the community and I took the burden off of her on the boring computer stuff. It kept her happy and engaged. Accommodation can mean physical tools to make a job easier for someone or it can mean slightly shifting certain tasks around your office. It is expensive to hire and train people. It is traumatizing to fire people for them and you. Don’t allow for failure that might just need some teamwork and creativity to fix. If you can find a way to tap into your employee’s brilliance and utilize all that is unique and special about them by giving them a reasonable accommodation, then do it! I promise it will make you stronger as a team and as people. #propertymanagement #accommodation #failure

Human Resources Executive | IT Recruiter | Talent Acquisition & Employee Engagement | MBA (HR & Marketing)
When you join a new company, there is a process of documentation. Similarly, when you rent a house, there is also a documentation process. When you want to leave your job, you have to serve a notice period. Likewise, when you want to change your rental property, you have to inform the landlord at least a month in advance. The reasons for leaving are often similar: In the office - Bad boss - Toxic environment - Poor management - Lack of growth opportunities - Uncompetitive salary - High stress levels In a rental property - Bad landlord - Unpleasant environment - Poor property management - Lack of space - High rent - Maintenance issues #Worklifebalance

Property Management Supporter ✨ Founder of Property Assist 🙋🏼♀️ Assisting Property Managers by delivering accurate and compliant Property Reports
🕰️𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐎𝐮𝐫𝐬.... Did you know that you can outsource your Routine Inspections to Property Assist? Whether it's unexpected staff leave, overall workload management, or the frustration of inevitable re-schedules, all of these factors can increase the time (and increase the frustration) required by your team. That's why we are happy to take this task off our clients' plates as part of our service, allowing them to focus on other tasks. We ask all of our clients to send us their lists of next month's inspections by the 8th of each month. This gives us ample time to schedule them and provides our clients with enough notice to inform their tenants about the inspection, ensuring a two-week notice period. It also allows us enough time to manage any reschedules. 🙃 If you would like to know more about this service, or if you are ready to dive into a booking, you can check out the link in our bio for more info 🔑 . . . #perthproperty #propertyperth #propertymanagerperth #perthpropertymanager #warealestate #realestatewa #perthrealestate #realestateperth #perthagent #perthrental #perthbusiness #perthsmallbusiness #perthgirlboss #perthwomeninbusiness #perthbusinesswoman #perthbusinesswomen #perthsmallbiz #perthassistant #perthagency #perthbusinesschicks #perthrealestateagent #girlbossperth #jobsperth #perthleaders #perthagent #propertymanagementassistant #realestatephotography #perthvirtualassistant #propertymanager #propertymanagement
