As a communications professional eager to advance climate solutions through storytelling, I’m currently seeking a full time communications, content creation, or writing/editing role in the world of nature-based solutions or food & ag, either based in the Chicago area or open to remote. 9 years’ experience in writing, communications, content creation, editing, and project management. I highly encourage nature based solutions professionals dive deep into the emerging field of agrivoltaics and apply it more broadly to permaculture industrial projects that merge ecosystem restoration with clean energy projects. The overlap with data monitoring and symbiotic relationships for more value and therefore faster deployment of natural solutions extends to offshore wind and floating solar. Marine plastic clean up and waste to energy with plasma gasification has potential too. This will be remote infrastructure and massive ecological restoration in tandem with carbon credit markets can rapidly accelerate the solutions we need.

One of the things I love about the #Climate space is that it's full of people who genuinely want to help others in the space. Makes sense; we all share a goal. Your own panel at Climatebase was full of this. So I appreciate your post and use of your platform, Daniela V. Fernandez! So I'll bite! I'm looking for a role in engineering leadership. I probably align best at a company in growth phase; I've done international teams, SAAS at scale, compliance, etc and I can help grow toward them without missteps. I've also done 'your desk hasn't arrived yet' startups and enjoy the fast-but-smooth pace of experts riffing and working with urgency. I am unusual in that I love hiring, and I love developing teams. I love working where I can offer my expertise and have colleagues who know more than I do; I try to be good at being wrong! I've learned I care more about the team and the goals than the space . . . but that said, as a sailor and a data & telemetry nerd, #OceanTech / #BlueTech and #EnergyTech are nearest to my heart.

Roles sought: (or similar) Creative Director Marketing Director Head of Content/Director of Content Brand Director Ocean Conservation Experience: I’ve been volunteering in the ocean conservation nonprofit space for the past 7 years as a Creative Director/Writer/Strategist. Currently Creative Director and Partnership Lead at COARE, a global leader in ocean conservation policy with a key role at the UN. Advertising and Marketing Experience: 20 years as a Creative Leader and Copywriter in top ad agencies (Riney, FCB, Citron, McCann, others) and brand marketing experience in-house (Apple, BlackBerry, Cisco, Yahoo!, others). My climate journey: Scuba diving was my portal into the blue economy, climate, and sustainability sectors. After experiencing the beauty and yes, the deleterious impact climate change has on our ocean, I fully committed myself to use my skills and shift my career to do all I could to help. Ideal Role: Full time senior creative (writing/strategy) with a for profit or nonprofit. Prefer regenerative ocean farming or ocean conservation, but those roles are rare to nonexistent, so I’m open.
