CAFA, along with Exponential Roadmap Initiative, United Nations High-Level Climate Champions #RacetoZero team, UN Global Compact Network UK, We Mean Business Coalition, InfluenceMap, and WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development, contributed to the Business Associations Climate Action Guide. This guide is a response to the fact that companies are now actively seeking and supporting policies and regulations that accelerate the Paris climate goals. They expect the associations that represent them to have similarly aligned policies and regulations. While most associations are supportive, some still drive agendas harmful to climate and nature. As a result, businesses are walking away or putting pressure on these associations. The underlying expectation is clear: businesses should ensure that the associations they are members of work in alignment with science-based climate policies. This guide offers valuable insights for membership organisations to align with their members' climate ambitions, attracting and retaining those committed to sustainability.
