There are several reasons that have led us to lead the tours and activities category in Spain and LATAM. One of them is the careful curation of our activities catalog, which is led by our Supply team. Less is more 😉 Leonardo Zago is part of this team. He is in charge of managing our inventory of activities in Brazil and Paraguay, as well as direct contact with our suppliers. The mystical town of Mompox was the home of Alma Air for the week as Chief Commercial Officer Rupert Stebbings attended the Cotelco Capitulo Cartagena y Bolívar symposium in the town. The idea of Colteco is to build close connections with its Bolivar cities and towns, accordingly both the Governor of the state and Mayor of Mompox were in attendance. The tourism ambitions for Cartagena, Mompox and the rest of Bolivar are extensive. There were workshops for the local hotels which Importantly included the support of Fundación Renacer who are helped fight the scourge of the sexual exploitation of minors by tourists, something that Mompox, unlike other cities, has avoided, and long may it remain that way. The ongoing challenge is connectivity and Alma Air is here to help in that regard. It is refreshing to feel the strength of support for our project from a broad church of stakeholders including Cotelco Capitulo Cartagena y Bolívar, Fundación Renacer Alcaldía De Santa Cruz De Mompós Gobernación de Bolívar ANDI - Asociación Nacional de Empresarios de Colombia Cartagena de Indias Convention and Visitor Bureau CICAVB Hotel Corales de Indias Hotel Casa San Agustín AURA HOTEL BARU Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena Hotel Quadrifolio We look forward to seeing you all again as we continue our journey to support an increasingly robust tourist sector which aims to improve not only the number of people enjoying the wonderful country of Colombia, but also the quality of those tourists. This comes by improving the offering and experiences as we move forward. #NewExperiences #Cartagena #Mompox #Bolivar #FlyAlma #Seaplanes

I finally took the time to watch last year's Gran Turismo movie. It teaches us a lot about real life. (it's a real-life story after all) 🏁 Gran Turismo did something extraordinary. It showed us how precision and perseverance pay off. Just like in the game, where precision and practice are key to winning, in our careers, attention to detail and persistence are vital ingredients for success. Gran Turismo's story is a reminder to value the potential of our passion. It can open doors to worlds we never imagined if we are willing to pursue them with commitment. Pay attention to every single detail and you will see a major difference long-term, as life rewards dedication. #CareerLessons #Innovation #Technology #PassionProjects #CareerDevelopment

At Damosa Land, we are expanding our footprint in the hospitality industry here in Davao. 17 years ago, we secured the franchise rights for Microtel by Wyndham under PHINMA to develop two branches in Davao City and General Santos City. This year, we embark on our third project under this partnership and first condotel named TRYP, situated on the scenic Samal Island in Davao Region. As we navigate the dynamic hospitality and tourism landscape, we're eager to serve an increasing number of guests while gaining insights into their preferences and travel/spending behaviors, ultimately contributing to the region's economic growth. Earlier this year, the Philippine Statistics Authority revealed that in 2023, accommodations emerged as a key driver of economic success in Davao, surpassing pre-pandemic levels. This underscores the importance of our efforts in bolstering Davao's hospitality sector and the potential for further growth and prosperity in the region. #DamosaLandAt20 #DrivingMindanaoGrowth #RiseAndThrive #ItsGoodToBeHome

🌟 Hotel New York, Vlora was visited by representatives of the General Directorate of Industrial Property. 🏢 In this informative meeting, in addition to the challenges and problems encountered by the tourism sector this year, the importance of trademark registration and the advantages that benefit entities that register industrial property objects were discussed. 📜💡 The meetings aim to provide guidance to businesses on how to register and the rights arising from this process. This registration helps protect against imitation and ensures fair competition in the free market, creating more protected and competitive businesses. 🛡️💪

Excited to announce the publication of our study, co-authored by Francisco Carballo-Cruz and me, in the prestigious journal Current Issues in Tourism! This project was truly a pleasure to work on. Our innovative research focused on historic food markets, using the beautiful Bolhão Market (Porto, Portugal) as a case study. We aimed to identify which elements of the market most influence visitor satisfaction and their revisit intentions. Here are some key takeaways: 🔎 Authenticity, Physical Environment, Products, and Market Aesthetics play a significant role in driving visitor satisfaction and revisit intentions. 🔎 Interestingly, Price and Events do not impact satisfaction or revisits. 🔎 First-time visitors value the Physical Environment more. 🔎 Repeat visitors prioritize the Market Aesthetics. ✔ If you're interested, you can access the full article through this link (the first 50 downloads are free): https://lnkd.in/dFNFfR3U A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this work! #MercadodoBolhão #foodmarkets #UniversityofMinho #NIPE #CurrentIssuesinTourism

I love Porto and if you don't know this place, you should. That's why I want to talk about some reasons to choose Porto, whether to live or invest. Reducing it to a few characteristics is always difficult, but I highlight 3: Our people and our welcoming capacity. Have you ever visit us? Come and you will know what we mean about receiving. Secondly, sure we are a quite cosmopolitan people and culturally we have envolved, and we have a great offer. But here you can still find the typical and local characteristics of a burguese town and all the details of commerce that we maintain from centuries. Perhaps you can still find little shops of buttons, and the sound on the street when the guy who sharpens knives goes through. Feeling Porto and our localism gives you a unique experience. Thirdly our strong connection with Douro, and all the commerce of Porto wine, as well with the sea. Douro, divides and also unites two cities – Porto and Gaia. Despite it, really we are one, and the river gives us a strong connection, and is part of the enchantment as a city. For me, these are the three fundamental characteristics. About the food…is impossible to talk. Just come and taste😉

What happens when borders between countries are no longer important? One answer might be co-operation leading to better enjoyment of life for everyone either side of that border and for everyone who comes to visit. Nowhere sums up more this spirit of celebration than Gorizia/Nova Gorica, the border city between Italy and Slovenia, and where you should be between the 26 and 29th September this year. The Gusti di Frontiera is the largest food and wine festival in the Triveneto region. But it is much more than a food and wine festival. It is a joyous explosion of colour, tastes, and sounds through the villages of the region and in the city of Gorica. More than 40 countries will be represented, showcasing the best food and wine that their country has to offer up for your delight. It’s a sort of gastronomic Olympics, save that the emphasis is on co-operation and collaboration rather than competition. 40 countries…. You could get a life time of travelling in just the weekend! The region will have barely recovered from its revels when Gorizia and Nova Gorica will become the European Capital of Culture 2025. This fascinating city with its history of border conflicts, its architecture and beauty is best experienced through a walking tour. The City was once divided by a wall, separating East and West before Berlin was so separated, and is full of stories, such as the bizarre events leading up to what is known as Broom Sunday (celebrated in August). Friuli Venezia Giulia is Italy's best kept secret. Perhaps you should visit now before the secret is let out. #fvg #gastronomy #notjusttravel
