Indian festivals are like treasure chests of cultural and spiritual wisdom. They hold the keys to our shared heritage and beliefs, but over time, some of these keys have gotten rusty with routine. Think about it – the great minds of our past wanted to convey their profound truths to the world. This is no easy task, so they distilled their wisdom into practices, which turned into rituals. The intent was for people to experience their own journey to a profound truth, but as the world got busier and time became more fleeting, the intent was muddied, and the essence was diluted. Today, we find ourselves entangled in the practicalities of these rituals, rather than being able to internalize them as a path to a Higher Truth. Raksha Bandhan, for instance, has transcended its historical context. Women stand strong, independent and empowered today – the idea of their brothers “protecting” them sound condescending, if anything. I think back to what Raksha Bandhan was for me as a child - an opportunity to gobble up my mom’s mouthwatering dishes, engage in nonsensical banter with my cousins, and appreciate a chutti (a day off) from school. This is how I want to honor this festival again – a chance to indulge in a meal with family, an opportunity to connect with my people, a chance to take a “chutti” from the relentless pace of modern life and use this time and space as an opportunity for dialogue, self-discovery, connections and our understanding of the world. Togetherness. Family. Love. (and Food). The essence of our festivals and the pleasures in our journey towards our individual Higher Truth. Here’s wishing you all a happy Raksha Bandhan! 🌟🌈 #RakshaBandhan #SiblingLove #IndianFestivals

Values you get if you’re from a typical Indian house. Growing up in a typical Indian middle-class household, most of us have experienced some or other unique traditions that have shaped us into who we are today. I remember how: - We used to maintain a “Gullak” in our childhood and used to wait to finally break it one day. - We used to only shop for our clothes on special occasions and festivals. - We used to get so happy celebrating our birthdays with Samosas and biscuit parties. I think growing up in an Indian home is a very fun and unique experience. The values we get from our grandparents, the habits we learn to use our money and things to their best limits, and the lessons we learn by meeting our friends, teachers, and other people. When I look back, I feel all this was so precious and necessary. With such upbringing, today we understand some of the highly valued skills and qualities and know how to: - Communicate well - Value resources, and - Be empathetic and kind to everyone around us. #India #Indianhousehold #values #linkedinforcreators

HOLI is a vibrant and joyous festival celebrated in India, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and the blossoming of new beginnings. Procrastination can be likened to the dark shadows that hinder progress and delay success. Here's a metaphorical connection between HOLI & Procrastination: HOLI encourages forgiveness, reconciliation, and letting go of past grievances. Similarly, overcoming procrastination requires letting go of past habits, excuses, and self-doubt. ! HaPPy HoLI ! Kindly share your thoughts on the same : #OvercomingProcastination, #FestivalCelebrations,#Careergrowth

The recent attention surrounding the graciousness exhibited by the Ambani family during Anant Ambani's pre-wedding festivities has been widespread, with numerous videos capturing their hospitality and attentiveness to guests circulating across the nation. However, amidst this portrayal of generosity, there is a poignant observation often overlooked. Notably, Anil Ambani, once among the wealthiest individuals in India but now facing financial adversity, attended the wedding ceremony with his family. Despite the profound wealth and influence associated with his elder brother Mukesh Ambani, who is often depicted as a cultural icon in media narratives, there was a conspicuous absence of assistance extended to Anil Ambani, even for something as simple as carrying his belongings. This observation underscores a sobering truth about societal attitudes: individuals are often valued not for their intrinsic worth or familial ties, but rather for their utility as symbols or means to advance one's own interests, often financial in nature. Reflecting on personal experiences, I have encountered similar instances where individuals sought to exploit my presence as a potential emblem or conduit for their own gain. In response, I have chosen to respectfully disengage from such relationships, recognizing the importance of maintaining dignity and self-respect, even amidst challenging circumstances. It is imperative to cultivate relationships based on mutual respect and genuine regard for one another, rather than instrumentalizing others for personal benefit. Every individual, regardless of their current station in life, deserves to be treated with dignity and esteem. Let us prioritize self-care & respect by surrounding ourselves with individuals who uphold these principles and contribute positively to our well-being. May we all strive for lives filled with blessings, health, prosperity, and happiness.
