If you are just getting started in your career and joining #corporateamerica here are some mistakes I made early in my career that slowed my advancement.
1. Prioritizing Hard Work: Unfortunately working hard alone is not enough to get you promoted. The corporate world (and life in general) is not a meritocracy so being personable and knowing the right people will often get you farther.
2. Over Sharing with Colleagues: Yor coworkers are your coworkers, not your friends. Keep it professional and avoid discussing private information.
3. Giving Unsolicited Advice: I know your probably have great ideas to help the company improve and are eager to share them but don’t. Not unless you are asked directly and even then I would feel it out because a lot times they don’t want to hear the truth.

🚀Embracing #NewHorizons: Reflecting on 15 Transformative Years at SDG Group.
As I prepare to embark on a new chapter, stepping down as #CEO, I am filled with gratitude and reflection on an incredible 15-year journey with #SDG, a leader in the #data and #analytics space. It has been a journey filled with growth, challenges, and countless rewards, both personally and professionally 🙏🏻.
From my early days as a consultant, 📈growing through the career to become a partner, and ultimately serving as Global CEO, the evolution has been nothing short of remarkable. When I joined in 2009, we were a close-knit team of 60. Today, I am proud to leave a thriving global company of nearly 2000 brilliant minds. This growth is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of every single member of the #SDG family.
My tenure has been a global journey 🌎, from the vibrant cities of Spain, Portugal, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Argelia, Singapore, the USA, Canada, to Colombia. Each mile traveled was an opportunity to learn, to connect, and to spread the vision of #SDG. These experiences have enriched my life in ways I could never have imagined, allowing me to meet extraordinary people and build lasting relationships.
The journey was also filled with opportunities for intra-entrepreneurship, leading initiatives like Goals4Goals, investing in Datumize, and establishing our presence in the Benelux region, and later in the USA & Canada. These initiatives reflect the spirit of innovation that runs deep in #SDG DNA.
As I move forward, I leave behind more than just a position; I leave a family. The bonds formed with colleagues, now friends, a testament to the #culture, #values and #community that make #SDG. To our esteemed customers and tech partners, your trust and partnership have been the cornerstone of SDG’s success, thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️. Your belief in our vision has propelled us forward, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
Though I am stepping down as CEO, I am not saying goodbye. I will always be a part of #SDG family and its biggest #ambassador. I look forward to seeing how the company continues to evolve and impact the world in positive ways.

My path has been unexpected—I studied in Romania, France and Italy! I’ve since worked in Audit, in Tech across multiple functions, and always had a passion for Philanthropy. I've also expanded into areas I care about by managing a career development Non-profit Organization for women in #STEM and currently serving on two Boards, a Professional Coaching firm and a Tech Start-up.
📌My path at #cisco has exposed me to so many different opportunities and broadened my perspective of the business as I transitioned through different roles, and across different locations in Europe and the US. It made me a #betterproblemsolver and pushed me to #adapt to changes and new environments.
📌At #VMWare, my path has been full of new adventures and a safe space to grow and work with amazing talent, strong leadership teams and incredibly focused business partners. Overall, a completely different culture and learning opportunities than my past experiences.
In time, I've realized that #relationships are crucial, and building them is just as important as the roles we fulfill. Most importantly, these experiences allowed me to create a #diversenetwork of mentors and sponsors, who helped shape the person I am today and direct me into areas outside the comfort zone.
I’ve learned that the paths we lay out for ourselves, our goals, and expectations - they don’t always pan out the way we plan and that ultimately, when we adapt, rise to new challenges, and incorporate the lessons we learn, we open so many new doors for ourselves.

This week I've embarked on the next step of my career journey, in the dynamic world of Ericsson - EE/BT Customer Account! 🌟
Starting out this week on a new customer account has felt like I am being challenged in ways I have not been challenged in some time - i.e. New Learnings, Ways of Working, Contacts, etc. The amount of New Learnings to absorb really pushed me to focus in, structuring the onboarding tasks & also reminding me that Progress is Progress, regardless of its speed! 💡
I have always been one who strives for success as swiftly as possible - but sometimes we do need reminding that whether we're sprinting forward or taking measured strides, what truly matters is the direction we're heading. It's best to learn the ground roots first to ensure you build a good foundation for future growth & delivery!🌱
Telecommunications & Project Management every day presents fresh challenges, coupled with opportunities for growth. 📶 It's about embracing the learning, celebrating even the smallest victories, and staying dedicated to the journey of continuous improvement. 📊
