Help us support our community by participating in our clothing drive! We are excited to partner with the Village Exchange Center (VEC) for our annual Week of Service in September. From now on and until September 9th, our Banking Centers will be hosting a clothing drive to collect new winter donations such as sweatshirts, jackets, winter gloves, and hats. All sizes are needed especially kids' sizes! We prioritize giving back locally and contributing to moving our community forward. Supporting our community is one of our core values and is part of our mission of enriching lives for one customer, employee, and community at a time. Want to have an impact in your community, but don't know where to start? Here's your guide to getting involved with DIGS: 1. Donate your gently used furniture & home goods to our warehouse, where they will be used to turn a house into a home for a Chicago family in need. Way better than wasting away in a landfill! We are open for donations Mondays & Wednesdays from 10am - 3pm. Scuff marks & stuck drawers are welcome :) 2. Sign up for a volunteer shift in the warehouse! Learn what a family wants to see in their home, then select furniture & home goods to bring their design ideas to life. Or spend your shift in the workshop upcycling furniture and home goods to be like-new for a DIGS family! 3. Join us for a DIGS Day! We move in a truck full of goodies every week, and we need hands to do it! Whether you want to volunteer solo, with your friends & family, or with your corporate team, we've got a DIGS Day for you. 4. Donate funds to support our organization as we continue to grow into our goal of breaking the cycle of homelessness one family at a time!

💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜 This month, we’re focusing on raising awareness and providing crucial support to survivors of domestic violence. Your involvement—whether through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word—directly helps survivors find safety, rebuild their lives, and regain their independence. As we gear up for More Than a Tailgate, we invite you to reflect on the tangible impact you can have. By supporting our mission, you’re providing survivors with the essential tool of a safe smartphone, access to resources, and a lifeline to a brighter future. #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth #SupportSurvivors #EmpowerChange #EmpowerSurvivors #AwarenessMatters #domesticabuseawareness #domesticviolencesurvior

If you're looking for an idea for #randomactsofkindnessweek , a canned food drive is a simple way to help others that may be struggling. This endeavor may sound overwhelming, but it is only as big as you make it out to be. If you have never done a canned food drive, pick 1-3 locations for donations and work closely with a local food bank so you can focus your efforts. You can do this! What do I need? A canned food drive requires very little materials. You need the following basics: 1. Paper 2. Basic Art Supplies 3. Cardboard boxes (or other receptacles for collecting decorations) 4. Social Media (helpful but not required) 5. Local Businesses willing to house donation boxes

If you’ve been around Womack for any amount of time, you’ve likely heard us talk about our Heart to Care. What does this mean to us? Our Heart to Care means actively making our community a better place, selecting charity partners that hit close to home for our employees, and putting time and resources towards the greater good. It means that kindness and compassion are non-negotiables. It means linking arms to contribute to something bigger than ourselves. Our Heart to Care is an inseparable part of who we are. Here we are, on the cusp of finishing out the 2023 year and what a year it’s been! Gladly, so many of us have figured out what to buy family and friends for holiday gift giving so now, we can put our minds to work on making other people’s lives filled with joy, merriment, and surprises during the year-end festivities. On this topic, I extend a few thoughts for wrapping up year-end donations, not only from the heart, but also for the taxman... Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/3NRNMYZ

Is anyone preparing to do some spring cleaning before May comes? 🙌 While you're dusting down the shelves, wiping down the counters, and sweeping up the floors, don't forget to work through those old/unused/worn out items that are ready to move out the door. One of the easiest ways to declutter any room is to have three bins—one for things to sell, another for donations, and a third for trash. Oh, and don't forget to grab those bags of items you were supposed to donate last year but have been taking up room in your garage instead! #CustomOrganization #stpetefl #customclosets #customorganization #homeorganization
