𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦... Y͟o͟u͟ ͟j͟u͟s͟t͟ ͟n͟e͟e͟d͟ ͟t͟o͟ ͟d͟e͟l͟e͟g͟a͟t͟e͟ ͟m͟o͟r͟e͟.͟ (Examples: hire cleaners, personal chef, nanny, mommy’s helper, meal plans) And even though I know it’s a dumb comment… It still makes me feel inadequate. Many women professionals also get annoyed (and angry) by the lack of recognition of the mental and time labor involved in coordinating clinical expertise, professional work, and households of families (with elder, child, and pet care needs). Here is how I’ve learned to handle this comment and others like it… 1. I acknowledge their perspective. 2. I let it fly past me in the air like a fleeting insect in the summertime. 3. I make a conscious choice to decide which roles and identities I need to uphold this week and which I can let go of this week. ☑️ Did I serve on the board of my child’s PTO last year? Yes ☑️ Did I sign up to volunteer for this year’s Band spring concert set up? No ➡️ You always have options and the ability to weigh what’s needed in the moment. Your autonomy to say yes or no to additional family, clinical, or administrative tasks is fluid and variable: it’s not all-or-nothing. ❓ Have you ever had this said to you? Share below your experiences!

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐈 "𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞" 🍽 I and my wife are full-time professionals, and we're fortunate to have a full-time helper to assist with our household chores. However, there are days when our helper needs to take an emergency leave. Honestly, on such days major of household work is done by my wife. And I try to do whatever little I can. I believe - when household chores are evenly distributed, both partners can manage their time more effectively. This balance allows for better focus on professional responsibilities, ultimately increasing productivity and income. P.S: Of all the household chores, I find washing dishes to be the easiest 😊 #household #chores #WFH #couple #goals

FAQ Friday! Question: How do I know if it is time for my loved one–Mother, Father, Grandparent–to move into Assisted Living? Answer: Safety and stability is typically the highest priority for most families. Although most people would prefer to stay in their own home, there are significant reasons why that is sometimes not possible. In addition to safety concerns, social engagement, communal meals, scheduled activities, and 24/7 supervision are some other good reasons to consider Assisted Living. #Caresultants #AssistedLiving #QualityofLife
