Today, Mayor Justin M. Bibb announced the permanent appointment of Dornat "Wayne" A. Drummond as Cleveland's Chief Director of Public Safety. Sworn in yesterday afternoon, Drummond brings over 35 years of experience in the Cleveland Division of Police. As Interim Safety Director, he has effectively overseen the Divisions of Police, Fire, Emergency Management Services, and Animal Care and Control, making significant improvements through strong community relationships.
