This year's Independence Day Car Show was a great success!
Friends, family, and neighbors came together to enjoy some good old-fashioned family fun and celebrate the freedom we have as a nation.
As you continue to celebrate this week, take a moment to check out what took place downtown this weekend, then like and share this post.
A special shoutout to the Downtown Turlock Property Owners Association for their effort in planning, organizing, and hosting this year's amazing celebrations.
Real estate investment can be a form of many investment methods but, to some immigrant families, it can mean far much more than that.
(Having to found or) Founding home away from home can be challenging and heart wrenching. This story touches my personal side.

If you didn't know, I was born in a small town in the midwest. Growing up in Springfield, MO, was a big part of my life story. After fleeing the Vietnam War, my family found a new start in the US thanks to a Baptist Church's sponsorship in this small town.
Even after leaving Missouri, the memories of our adventures in Branson, MO-boating on the lake, screaming out faces off at Silver Dollar City Amusement Park, and wandering the bustling downtown lined with music and magic shows - remain unforgettable.
Now, having a place in Branson feels like coming full circle, reconnecting us with where it all began.
Excited to team up with my brother on this vacation rental.
This one is for you, Mom.

Suppose you're a building tenant, and you (or a customer) notice that a building element is dangerous or unfit for purpose. Should you ask your landlord about it?
So, what's the context here?
It could be very confronting when a customer makes a complaint to you. While you want to help, you are unsure about actioning the issue because of your relationship with your landlord, whether anything can be done, or whether it is fair or reasonable to make mention.
This scenario is not about right or wrong but about the commercial reality of relationships and the emotional structure of how you see your position in the relationship. It's a situation where someone has more power than another, and there is an imbalance of power and influence.
This is inequity.
These situations may leave many who want to make things better by doing better things feeling helpless and somewhat vulnerable. The vulnerability is feeling powerless and the perceived absence of agency in the commercial relationship.
The questioning of yourself is whether your human response is appropriate or suitable.
Leadership can be lonely, right?
If you are insured, you must inform your insurer of your landlord’s behaviour. You must inform your insurer of any change, action or circumstance that may affect your cover. This includes actions by others, including inaction or inappropriate remediation by a landlord or you, the tenant.
Yes, sending an email, text, or phone call may cause friction in your landlord-tenant relationship, but what’s worse: being sued for your inaction when you know something should be done and losing a customer?
Our emotions and commercial requirements for getting along with our landlord can be compromised and are often insufficient.
How we serve ourselves is often how we allow others to treat us.
If we continue to believe that we are correct when the evidence suggests something different, only time will tell who’s holding the parcel of pain when the music stops.
