Major Win for Recreation with RTP Funding The FHWA will provide waivers for the Build America Buy America requirements for RTP funding! Read the Press Release; https://lnkd.in/gT6GvK9t Going Deeper; The Recreational Trails Program provides critical funding for trail maintenance, stewardship and the ongoing development of new recreation opportunities for both motorized and non-motorized users. Due to stipulations within the Build America Buy America requirements, project and grant applications for Recreational Trails Project funds required all equipment purchased using RTP funds to have material certifications of origin that most manufactures were not able to provide. This unnecessarily held up applications and funding that inhibited grassroots clubs from carrying out projects intended to improve existing trail systems or create new trails. With this ruling, the FHWA will now provide waivers to the material certification of origin stipulations so that projects that would otherwise receive approval for funding can move forward. This means that clubs and groups applying for funds can purchase the equipment they need to build and maintain trails, not just equipment that is approved per program guidelines. Off-Road Business Association (ORBA) and affiliates have been working towards this resolution for years, and we're very excited to share this news. #news #offroadbusiness #orba #trailbiz #united4wdassociation #unitedsnowmobilealliance #rtpfunds #fhwa #sema #4x4 #trailstewards

These improvements result in our buildings being fully occupied, with tenants ready to pay a significant premium for the enhanced experience. This trend highlights the future of office spaces, where quality and convenience are paramount. As more employees realize the disadvantages of remote work, they are choosing to return to the office environment. This shift underscores the importance of high-quality office spaces that cater to the needs and preferences of modern workers. #office #commercialRealEstate #premiumoffice #amenities #flighttoquality

We have submitted planning applications for another one of our Towns Deal projects - the creation of two sports hubs at Kingsway Park, Kirkby, and Sutton Lawn. ⚽️🏑 The sports hubs are being funded by our £62.6million Towns Deal, which is financing 16 major transformational projects across Sutton and Kirkby that will change the face of Ashfield for generations to come. The exciting plans for Sutton Lawn centre around increasing provision for football at the park, and include creating two new 3G football pitches, improvements to the existing grass football pitches, converting the derelict shale pitch to grass pitches, refurbishing and extending the existing changing pavilion, creating additional car parking, and resurfacing the access road to the park. These improvements to Sutton Lawn are being made in conjunction with the Football Foundation and Academy Transformation Trust Further Education. Plans for Kingsway include building a new, modern, energy efficient changing room facility to support football, hockey, and wider sports at the site. Kingsway Park will see drastic changes which also include constructing a new energy efficient bowls pavilion, creating more car parking, installing energy efficient floodlighting, and creating new grass pitches. https://lnkd.in/g-3Yq-H8

AUS #1 Market Analyst, 3x AUS Buyer's Agent of Year, REIA Hall of Fame Inductee, REIQ Hall of Fame & Fellowship, pragmatic, introvert, passionate Brisbane Lions fan, @Propertyology
The Queensland state government says they have finalised their budget to host the Brisbane #2032Olympics, 2.5 years after being awarded the event. The total bill of $7 billion is already more than double what the government originally committed taxpayers to covering. The biggest component of the budget blowout relates to the complete knock down and rebuild of the #Gabba, which will be used as the main stadium for the Olympics. When south east Queensland was awarded the Olympic Games in April 2021, the Gabba redevelopment was said to cost up to $1 billion. 2.5 years later, it is $2.7 billion. #Construction of the Gabba is due to commence in Q4 2025. It is anyone’s guess what the actual cost will come to by the time the new Gabba is eventually finished in H1 2030. And a temporary home also needs to be built for the Gabba’s main tenant, the Brisbane Lions, who are tracking towards 60,000 members and regularly attract 30,000 fans to home games. A yet to be redeveloped RNA Show Grounds is favoured to be the Lion’s home stadium for 4x AFL seasons while the Gabba is rebuilt. That project may cost circa $150 million. https://lnkd.in/ghyhiknG

This is shocking news. For the many people in Sydney who live in apartments, parkland serves as their backyard, their space to exercise, play, walk the dog or unwind. Wentworth Park sits in the middle of one of the most densely populated neighbourhoods in Australia and is dominated by a greyhound racing track. This parkland should be for the benefit of the community, not an industry that has admitted to killing up to 17,000 healthy dogs each year, has been shown to live-bait, and causes problem gamblers real suffering. We welcomed the former Government's commitment to return Wentworth Park to the public. The City of Sydney has already conducted early consultation and we have begun a new masterplan for community use of this prime inner city land. It would be bitterly disappointing if the Government backed down, indicating the greyhound industry is more important to them than the community of Pyrmont/Ultimo. We are not going to solve the housing crisis without more housing and we can’t expect people to live well in higher density without improved public amenity – including access to parkland and recreational space. The NSW Government is intent on delivering extra housing density, but it must recognise this additional housing requires infrastructure and open space to ensure growing suburbs are liveable. Read more in The Sydney Morning Herald here: https://lnkd.in/gv5Wt8xS And read about our matersplanning for the parkland here: https://lnkd.in/gfyme9bt More space for community sport. More parkland. No more greyhound racing in the City of Sydney.
