We’re happy to share that the City of Providence has been selected as a Nature Everywhere Community in a national initiative to increase equitable access to nature! 🌿 🌎 Nature Everywhere Communities are growing across the U.S. through a joint initiative of the Children & Nature Network, National League of Cities and KABOOM!, designed to increase equitable access to nature everywhere children live, learn and play in 100 communities by 2025. The City of Providence will receive two years of strategic planning, technical support and start-up funding to develop and implement community-driven plans for connecting children and families to nature-based experiences and learning. This grant is a collaboration between the City's Housing and Human Services Department, the Providence Parks Department, the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Department and Providence Public Schools' Office of Family and Community Engagement!
