Our Executive Director, Vineeta Gupta, MD, JD, LLM, gave the closing keynote address at the 2023 NALBOH Annual Conference yesterday. Her address, Curating a Table for Empowered Partnerships, discussed a vision for collective impact and utilizing inside-out equity to advance public health. The conference consisted of sessions that examined a wide range of #publichealth topics, from understanding state and local public health authority, to prioritizing the wellbeing of the public health workforce, to building the resiliency of public health agencies. In her address, Dr. Gupta invited us all to think about what we can do differently in our efforts to find holistic and equitable public health solutions – a question that drives us every day. Equity is not a one-size-fits-all concept. It's not just about what we do for others; it's about partnerships, common interests, and empowering those we serve. What can we do differently as we go forward with our mission of advancing public health for all? Who can we bring to the table that has been left out? A strong public health workforce is key to a healthy community. #NALBOH2023 allowed public health leaders to come together and continue the collective vision of serving communities by ensuring thriving public health workforces. #publichealthpolicy #healthequity

Contexture and Quality Health Network (QHN) have entered into a Letter of Intent to explore an affiliation to unify health information exchange (#HIE) in Colorado. Both organizations are excited to embark on this journey, enabling our teams to combine their extensive expertise in serving their respective communities to support all of Colorado. Together, this affiliation would put the organizations in a better position to meet federal policy changes. It would also support the expansion of the current work of both organizations, especially as it relates to #SDOH efforts, and will allow for new solutions, including analytics and reporting functions for micro-levels to statewide and multi-state initiatives.
