Words of wisdom from Mitch Savoie Hill, CPC. I could not agree more. We just spoke about this during our New Member Meeting for NSA Carolinas. When calculating your ROI (Return on Investment), consider your ROE (Return on Engagement). ROE will always boost your ROI. Please take a minute to listen to Mitch's message. Ecosystem Manager - North & South America @ Universal Robots A/S Working to end the global water crisis in our lifetime 💧
Water is the most important resource in our world and according to the UN’s 2024 World Water Development Report, over 2 Billion people do not have access to clean water 💧. Women and children are the most adversely affected by this lack of clean water as they are primarily responsible for fetching it from whatever sources they are able to find. They collect it in jerry cans and carry these cans on their heads and backs. On average, they walk 30 minutes to get water carrying these cans weighing ~20kg. When a community like this one in Zambia receives a clean water well, it changes everything. Clean water🚰 empowers: -Health, sanitation and hygiene 🩺🛁 -Education for children who no longer spend their days fetching water 📚 -Economic opportunities for women and their villages as they are able to build businesses and wealth 📊 Next time you wash your hands or have a glass of water, please remember what a blessing it is, and consider giving to NGO’s like World Vision who aim to help end the world’s water crisis in our lifetime. Water is life
This woman in #zambia broke our hearts when we heard her struggles accessing clean water including a child who drown falling into an open well and another who became disabled from the fall. World Vision USA determined to bring her community a new permanent clean water source

Getting English speakers to thrive in Hebrew 🇮🇱 Best-Selling Author Israeli Educator 🤳 Schedule a call with me 👄 Conversational course 📚 Best-selling reading-writing series
Solidarity in society is a powerful force, a bond that unites individuals through shared values, goals, and purposes. It goes beyond mere agreement, evolving into a deeply rooted sense of collective responsibility and mutual support. In a society where solidarity is strong, members actively work towards common objectives, understanding that their individual well-being is interconnected with the welfare of the community as a whole. This sense of unity is often most visible during challenging times, when communities come together to support each other, demonstrating that the strength of a collective can far exceed the sum of its individual parts. Solidarity fosters a culture of cooperation, empathy, and understanding, serving as the backbone of a resilient and cohesive society. #solidarity #solidarityforever #solidaritywithisrael

Last week #Waterloo Regional Council endorsed the Plan to End #ChronicHomelessness. This Plan consists of two coequal documents that are in dialogue with one another: the Plan Document and the Lived Expertise Prototyping Report. I am honoured to have assisted in the development of both documents but I particularly want to shout out the #livedexperts and #advocates who wrote the Prototyping Report. This cohort included folks from the Lived Expertise Working Group, People's Action Group, Unsheltered Campaign, the Alan Ryan People's Community Defense Brigade, Disabilities and Human Rights Working Group, Land Back Camp, Sanguen Health Centre, FightbackKW, KW Multicultural Centre, Going Mobile, A Better Tent City, and the Social Development Centre of Waterloo Region. It is called a prototyping report becuse for the past year this cohort has worked closely with Regional Staff and other stakeholders to identify and experiment with new opportunities for #SystemTransformation. They have compiled common language and key definitions on #homelessness, they have mapped out the legal context for the #HumanRights approach to housing, and they have created 30 concrete #CallsToAction to address the #HousingCrisis now. Please use this document for your own advocacy. Please use it to hold the Region accountable to a human rights approach. Please use it as an example of centring #LivedExperience. Please copy and iterate off of this work as we continue to build momentum for a world where everyone has access to agency, dignity, and aequate housing. You can read the Plan Document here: https://lnkd.in/e6egF_xV And you can learn more about our process here: https://lnkd.in/ezR7-42Z

We're on a mission to enhance housing options for disabled individuals and foster inclusivity. Our policy work is a driving force, influencing legislation, shaping national & local housing policies, and championing best practices in accessible housing. 💬 We amplify the voices of disabled individuals, ensuring their experiences shape our advocacy. Collaboration is key, and despite our modest size, we join forces with others to maximize impact. 🤝 Proudly co-chairing the Housing Made for Everyone (HoME) coalition since 2019, uniting diverse organizations for a common goal – more accessible homes and neighborhoods. Together, we're building a more inclusive world! 🌍 → https://lnkd.in/dCwhAQvw #AccessibleHousing #InclusiveCommunities #HabintegImpact
