As a member of the selection panel, Jens Uhlemann from #LifeHubMonheim played a pivotal role in identifying standout startups looking for success.   Having attended previous TechTour Sustainability events, our team knew to expect nothing less than excellence—and we were not disappointed. 🔥 Warming up for the #KongressBW organized by >SMART> GREEN ACCELERATOR and EWS Elektrizitätswerke Schönau eG   😎 This week, MuWind attended a Warm-up session of the Kick-Start Green Innovation (KIGI) Program.   💪 This program, supported by the Umwelttechnik BW brings Startups together in order to tackle energy challenges.   ♻ In this session, we exchanged about how we can assess and reduce our product/service's footprint, through a lifecycle evaluation. We also got a briefing on the tool "Green Check Your Idea" (see 1st comment).   🏆 The main takeaways are:   🎯 1. Start simple: You need a model that can be used for 1st estimations and on which you can build up. 🔁 2. Craddle to craddle or Craddle to grave: You have to start at the material extraction, and finish at recycling/discarding. 🥇 3. Prioritize: Which levers have the biggest impact, which levers can you better activate. ♻ 4. Iterate, iterate, iterate.   This approach has been central to MuWind's product strategy:   Bamboo blades, no polymers, limitted number of materials, regional manufacturing for all the steal parts, standard components, 15y lifetime, easy repair...   😎 Are we stopping there? First up, a few facts About the ClimateTech Industry in Germany 🌳 The ClimateTech market in Germany is rapidly growing, attracting both local and international investors.
